Getting close on this grow saw this on several buds tonight… haven’t seen any critters.
Wait until a little while after lights go out and check with a flashlight.
Ok ill do that thanks
Gooey trichomes will do that. As the flowers swell, they can be stuck together, and the trichomes sort of stretch. Does that make any sense? Most spider mite webbing is closer to the outer surface unless infested, and you wouldn’t have to inspect very closely at that point.
I have heard of that but never seen it…these ARE the gooiest buds I’ve ever grown…i was telling my buddy yesterday ![]()

I think that may be the case. You do have some outstanding trich production. Yummy!
I’m already in that dang check check recheck phase i get in when they are close…oh boy its going to be a bumpy ride this year😄
Waited about 15 went in and didn’t see anything else…no webs on leaves nothing moving. Not really sure…i guess just give it time and post more pics? I have at least another week and possibly half judging pistils alone.
Something like spinosad product can be used during flower would have at least a moderate impact on mites if you did have them. I’m not sure if you need it, but wouldn’t be a bad idea to have some on hand in the event you do spot some.
Thanks for the tip…but if I can/do verify its spidermites I’ll just trash the grow.
I’ve never had spidermites. Will it be fairly obvious in a week and a half? Stuff should be web covered right?
Ya, they can hatch and reproduce within about a week or so.
I was just working on spidermites for my AI labeling…here’s some examples…let me know if you would like more examples.
Hey @Vance2 , I agree with @Borderryan22 on this one so far. Looks more like trichomes than webbing. If you go to the Maven Genetics web page, they have some incredibly good, up-close trichome pictures on their site. You can see some similarities. Hope that helps. Keep checking though and keep us posted. Good luck
.
Thanks for the pics…i dont have anything that looks like that. Have looked lol…think it is stretchy trichs
Anytime…I hope you have a wonderful evening!
