Bit more information would be helpful but expect the cotyledons to turn yellow.

It does look like they are stretching a bit. Might need to lower the light. And don’t overwater. Seedlings just need a bit of water.

Strain: Purple lemonade and Rhino rhyder from FastBuds
Method: Soil
Vessels: 11L buckets
Ph of Water: 6.0 - 6.7
PPM/TDS: 0-10 (Ro water)
Indoor closet
Light: 400w HPS, about 65cm away from the plants
Temps: day: 22-28 - night: 20-24
Humidity: 40-60%
Ventilation system: yes
Humidifier
Co2: no

With mine at that stage I used a spray mist bottle trying to only get the soil around the stem wet, I used the finger poke to check if it was still to wet, if no soil was on my finger I felt it was ready, I made this adjustment after my leaves were turning yellow

I don’t know a lot about that light but at seedling stage I run a 60w cfl 8-10 inches over (20-25cm)

After a couple weeks I run my CMH 315W at 50 percent about 12" away.

The little round smooth edge Leaf turning yellow that’s normal they will eventually fall off. Seedlings develop some Roots before you see much foliage.

Are you covering them with a dome? At this age they get a lot of moisture from their leaves. Think clear party cup or clear 2-liter bottle doesn’t need to be fancy. Spray the inside with water and put over the plant.

Don’t water entire pot when they are young. Good advice from @ToastedBuffalo about just watering around stem with spray bottle, and also @Bubblehead for suggesting the clear domes. You want high humidity when they are young seedlings.

Thanks a lot guys, I’ll do as you all say and hope for the best. Just ordered a better Humidifier as well. @ToastedBuffalo @NugFlush @Bubblehead Do you guys think I should move my light closer to them than 65 cm?

65cm is about 25 inches. I have LED lights and most of those are about 18” (45cm). But you have hps correct? I’m not the most imformed about HPS and MH. But I believe you can get your HPS closer than LED. Approx. 12” (30cm). But someone with more experience with HPS, can give you a more definitive answer. But, IMO…you can definitely move it close than the current 65cm.

Does the manufacture have recommendation for light distance?

Actually I dont think so, its called Sunmaster dual spectrum 400w

Quick search just revealed 11” is probably all the closer you want to be. Then check for too much heat on the plants. To do this put your hand under the light at the top of the plants. If it is hot on your hand it is too hoot for the plants.

Fully vented HID lamps, HPS or MH should be no closer to the canopy than 58cm. Double ended, uncooled HPS no closer than 76cm and LED no closer than 38cm :point_up_2: This came from @garrigan62 from another topic on this site. @kakun take this information as gold. Solid information from a VERY respected member. I was afraid I had given you some wrong numbers, as I wasn’t sure about the HPS distant, so when I seen @garrigan62 post about light distant, I thought about this post and wanted to give you the correct numbers. Hope this helps, :+1:

yo Thanks a lot for this information man, really much appreciated <3

No problem. Take that to the bank…that info is golden!

Hey man i’m having a bit of an issue here if you could please help, my plant has a weird kind of light brownish spot on the leaf and its spreading ;/ you have any idea what that might be? @NugFlush

I can’t see it real clear with that pic. Small brown spots usually means calcium deficiency. But I don’t have to get a better look. How old are they?
