Solo Cup With 2 Seeds

I have 2 seeds in the same solo cup. I have a one plant tent. When I transplant the one seed that I want to keep, I want to remove it before the roots get entangled. A week or two in the solo cup should be enough time to do this?

Once you decide the one you want to keep you can just cut the other one off at the base leaving the roots in the soil.
They will die and just become part of the soil and not effect the other plant at all.

You can certainly pull them apart if you want to but im thinking if they have grown enough above soil to choose the best one, its a good chance the roots are all ready intertwined.
Maybe not much or maybe alot :man_shrugging: and you could separate them either way if you wanted to, but if you want the least stress, I wouldn’t mess with the roots and just cut one off…

If you do decide to grow both then do separate them and not grow 2 in one pot.

Or you could separate now before the roots get to entangled, and give one to a buddy.

Thanks. Cutting it off would be the easiest and safest for the plant. However, I might separate them and put one outside to see what happens. Nobody I know knows that I am growing, other than my wife…

Removed the seedlings from the solo cup. I learned something…the seedlings were 2 inches above the soil. Their roots were also 2 inches below the soil. The roots were not tangled up in each other. So each plant has it’s own grow bag. I have one Marshydro TS1000 light. I guess I will get another.
Again, this is in a 2.3 X 2.3 size tent and since I am 9 weeks late getting a seed to grow, I am going to try 2 plants in this small tent. Other wise, I could have grown one seed until the end of Jan and then grow another before it gets too warm. 2 at a time now to see what happens! If all fails, there is a dispensary 3 miles down the road…

Since I am trying 2 grows in one tent, is there a difference between the 3 gal and 5 gal bags? Will the end result be more or less buds, bigger or smaller? using 5 gal bags now

Hi, Diff pot size is a little more or a little less work. Thick and flowering drinking faster. How often you want to water n feed. But how long wait for dry-back for flushes and tests.
I think plant size less concern so wouldnt matter much well yeah for me whats easier, 3 more frequent water but eaiser flush and resets

I think I will be changing to cocoa for the next grow, next October! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I am here all of the time, so I can water as often as needed.
