So for those of you who make bubble hash

@HippieRunner1 the bubble machine works great!

Way better than a drill attachment or by hand…

I was in a rush, so only ran my trim from each plant once… Got a nice marble size ball from each. The last I tested the time… To see what happens… Too long equals green… Learned.

I appreciate your tips!

Heck ya! Great work.

You are 100% correct on the concept of over washing. The product will take on more of a green hue due to the extra plant material. I have found that washing roughly five times is about perfect. Low and slow :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Happy farming…

Hi all-
Just made some Bubble Hash with leftover trimmings. From this and last season.
I did over-run and got some plant material :frowning:
5 bag setup, 5 gallon bags, Home Depot bucket used.

Great work! Looks like you will be smoking the good stuff for quite some time.
Are you planning on letting it air dry? I like this rout. It’s slow and tedious but worth the while. The product will turn black do to it oxidizing with the air. Completely normal :upside_down_face:

@HippieRunner1 Yeah, I will let it air dry for a week, then donate it to the crew.
I smoke only flower. I just make the BH for friends and family. To the uninformed, I look like a Weed Wizard showing up with these offerings. :joy::joy:
“With ice and water? HOW?!”
OG Andalf blows a big cloud of smoke and disappears.(Not really, I just walked away :face_with_hand_over_mouth:)
.“Whoa…” (stoners can be easily amazed )

Nice to be resourceful and useful :facepunch:

Hahaha that’s so funny you give it away. I definitely give more away than I smoke. Just makes me feel good inside to pass it on to others. Solid work my friend

It’s really not that much work, not when you compare the work to the finished product, in fact, so worth it! give it a shot.

So starting with about a 1/2 ounce of dried sugar leaves and small undersized buds (but mostly sugar leaves)

Well done. Havent made hash in a few years. I had 3 grades. The fine brown…yummy. Second shake less pure with larger screen…joint. 3rd shake with mucho green…concentrate for edibles. That looks so good I might break out my bags next harvest and turn some of the Hindu Kush into a batch. Awesome. So Chong dont drop the pin with hash in Cheech’s lap

I don’t have a press I’ve always utilized the wine bottle with boiling water to press out bubble hash in between parchment paper. It’s a pain in the butt and the water tends to cool down relatively quick.

Here’s my question
Can I pour the keif going to the parchment paper fold it and use a household iron to press it out (to melt the trichomes) if I’m not mistaken, standard household irons temperatures can be set as low as 220 degrees Fahrenheit.

Even if I had to put a hand towel over the parchment paper to absorb some of the heat?

What’s your thoughts?

Ran this bubble from the BlackWidow trim and larf . Freakin’ powerful !!! I don’t press so can’t be of any real help on that.

I’ve heard of people taking 2 pieces of parchment paper a curling iron and a piece of bud and making dabs by pressing the bud in the iron between the parchment paper so it might work if you did something similar

I got some dry sift kief from the leftover material I use for infusing joints and topping bowls its not super potent but it adds a nice little extra kick

I believe the iron will work on its lowest setting. I believe trichones begin to melt at 200° all I want to do is melt it like you do with a wine bottle full of hot water.

Actually I think the iron will work very well it’s the same concept as the curling iron but much simpler… I’ll pick up an iron and try it out. I hit my father-in-law upside the head with my old iron and I had to throw it away
