Any advice on bubble hash?

I bought some mesh bubble sacks and I’m making my first batch of ice water bubble hash I’ve used the large amount of trim mostly from sugar leaves and nug and I also used about a half ounce of nug I’m using a 5 gallon bucket with multiple mesh bubble hash collectors in it. I’m about to be straining I left it longer than I wanted to I used way too much ice I feel like. So I left and went and ate somewhere else I left it sit for about an hour and a half and I’m just now about to strain it and we’ll see what we end up with. I’m just wondering if anybody has any secret advice or helpful hints or tips to making ice bubble hash in a five gallon bucket

Keep at it, practise makes perfect, I do 3-4 rounds a yr, its not a hard go but get the Ice water and weed mix right, and the drying is my hardest go.

Check out https://youtube.com/@frenchycannoli

I got one of those mobile cloths washers etc and been watching his videos to learn. Supposedly one of the best makers out there.

Pick up a couple of pounds of dry ice, use the 72µ bag, freeze flower and dry ice together and shake kief. You’re done. No using multiple bags, no drying issues etc. Shake and smoke.

I picked up a large sheet of window glass to shake it out on. Keep shaking until you start to see a color change. At that point you’re done. I also toss 5 or 6 quarters in to help agitate the flower/dry ice mix.

I’ll never do bubble hash again.

Okay I’ve made the bubble hash and it looks great. Now I can hopefully dry it properly without any mold issues

I didn’t know that was an issue. I guess I never really thought about it. But that makes complete sense.

How DO you dry it out and keep moisture at the same time. Otherwise doesnt it get crackly?

What about putting it into a jar or spread out in a glass baking container inside a dehydrator on low heat? Put a cloth or something over it.

Freeze it break up to smaller pcs, put on parchment paper then on a towel in a pizza box, and leave for a bit in a cool dry place is my go, some times its gooey sometime it is crumbly all depends on the bubble hash and sometimes enviroment, just my experince.

Is 0.73g a good turn around for trim off a small plant i got 3.5oz of bud off of? My first time trying. It was pretty much just trim too, a 1 ounce grove bag stuff with leaves.

I think its because i didnt rinse the 25 micron bag. I just pulled it out of the water and let it drip. I tried to sqeeze a little excess water out. But i didnt do a rinse or anything. Just the water from the bucket.

Damn. I saw you were in Michigan. I tried to do a search for dry ice in Michigan, but it came up with a bunch of retailers, but as you said, that could mean nothing, considering you are like me and live in BFE.

This company looks awesome and is in upper Michigan.
