day 20: absurdly slow growth. *I think…
lights are 110w @28
Weekly temps and rh with and average of 73F 66Rh I had a few instances where I let the Rh get out of the range of i was going with the introduction of the dehumidifier.
I was hoping they would be farther along by now as i need to start dropping Rh for the main tent of photos.
maybe i got some overspray on them? not sure … didn’t like the looks of them. one was almost crispy. Anyway i plucked them because i got tired of looking at them.
Hopefully they are getting ready to take off.
If not they are just taking up valuable real-estate and screwing up my time frame for clones i planned on putting in that tent to vege soon.
they also got feed jacks full strength after 30%- and 50%
four days later and they are a little bigger.
I started feeding jacks full strength every day and watering to runoff also this week. They have also been getting recharge, tribus and silica blast.
Lights are about 180@24 now. Not sure if thats where they should be at this stage or not. So ill just keep my eye on them and see how they react.
these girls got a really slow start for probably a multitude of reason sooo I probably wont be topping them as they are autos. Ill go ahead and pull’em over when they get a bit bigger.
@Deepsix is right. I top every thing. If you are in coco. I would wait till about the end of week 4. I am not sure where the no topping autos came from. You do want to be careful about topping to early is the only thing I have seen.
You are about the same stage I am. Plants are about the same too I am figuring by the time this week is up. I should see a big difference. Yours look super healthy. I am just starting week 4 here
Your Temps are to low that’s why the growing is going slow.
You want to keep them as solid to 79f as possible day and night.
Also in early stages Mach the bod humidity think it’s like 75% RH for that temp.
Also reduce light they are showing light stress and are short and bushy.
well shoot. I thought I was doing pretty good. temperature has been dipping down to 68F at night with a heater running. Just a few feet away on the other side of a garage door it has been below freezing at night up till recently.
getting bigger.
I have brought night time temps up and am trying to keep that RH higher by adding a wet towel to the tent whenever I am around.
I topped them the other day… maybe i only topped 3. cant remember. Any way kinda letting them do what they do.
Full strength jacks. recharge. tribus, silica blast. tribus and recharge off and on. Silica every day.
43 days since breaking ground. I have them under two 240qb boards @ 200ishW @24" . wondering when I should crank it up @Nicky any advice on that?
I have brought my temps up as suggested by @Nicky (thank you)
temps are average 79-83 and rh is 58-68. big rh difference but it kind of is what it is. I throw a wet towel in there now and again .
The cal issues I believe i was seeing on the one plant is gone as I gave it a good flush and the issue never returned. Just the old damage remains with nothing on new leaves.
I am feeding with a good amount of runoff every day with jacks w/ silica every day ph’d to around 6.2 and an EC of 2.2(1100 ppm) with straight tap(170-200ppm) now filtered. I started reducing ro by 1/4- 1/2 - 3/4. seem fine with just a touch on the tips which I can live with if thats all it is. Same with the 4x8 over here
They are also getting recharge pretty regular and tribus now and then. maybe once a week.
I believe I am seeing some pre flower activity as well.
A little smaller than I had hoped for but that’s my fault and next time will following instructions better as my poor watering practices in the PROMIX and intermittent feeding in the beginning probably slowed them down.
I topped them a while back except one just to see what a non topped plant does. I did not do any lst. I started to and cracked a branch and just told myself to stop touching them. Luckily it healed.
Ive also got this little girl going. SHes jacked up as I accidentally gave full strength nutes from an unmarked bottle and cooked her a while back. surprised she is still alive. Now getting the same feed as all the big kids and appearing to like it.
Love the detailed update format helps me remember where your at.
Looks really good, keep it up.
Watch the stretch, once you see them starting their stretch then crank it up to help control the stretch.
getting bigger. I have cranked up the lights to max and raised them just a touch to help with the stretch. it kind of got away from me a bit. Ill try and keep an eye on them to make sure they arent freaking out.
the are still getting jacks full strength every day. yesterday they got a snort of tribus and today i watered in some recharge with the last gallon.
Little crispy in the middle has bounced back pretty good after me cooking it with full strength feed in the beginning on accident. I probably should have tossed it as it will most likely be stunted but hey it’s a $10 seed so ill go ahead and grow it out.
Seeing how tiny they are I probably could have done six in here.
