Slow-starting auto seedling

This is a auto-Critical plant, which, based on my limited experience, seems to be very slow off the mark.
It was germinated on a wet paper towel, started to show a small tap root, then I accidently let the temp get up to 88F overnight. The tap root stopped growing, and I put the paper towel in zip-lock aside,at room temp, for about 4 days - then I noticed that the tap rot had grown again, so I planted it in a Rapid Rooter sitting on top of coco coir/perlite.

It sprouted 2 days later, 9 DAYS after starting germination.
This is what I am calling “day 0”.

Here it is on day 2, looking good.

I started giving 1/4 strength Fox Farm Hydro nutes as soon as the first true leaves appeared, on day 4:

But now it is day 12, and it is just starting to make the second set of true leaves:

For comparison, here are the last two plants I grew (also autos), at day 12 after sprouting. They were big enough that I transplanted them that day into larger pots.:

So why is the current girl so slow to get started? Could there be residual damage from the botched germination?

I think it looks pretty decent for day 12 try not to overwater. I work now that using a sprayer for water receivelings the way to control very light water. Besides that looks really good

Way too much water. Only a couple ounces in a ring a couple inches from the stem is good for this size.

the wavy leaves in the last pic can indicate slight Cal/Mag deficiency. A foliar spray might help a little. especially in coco

Agree with @Borderryan22 and that seed should have been dropped as soon as the tail was approximately 1/4” like the pic. It would be further along, keep the temps around 76-85 and the RH in the 65-75% range :love_you_gesture:

Actually, the picture of the seed with ~ 1/4" radicle was taken just before I planted it in the Rapid Rooter.
And I’m watering about 1-2 ounces a day.

Seedlings need Humidity Growmie, they absorb the moisture from the air while they build and put down roots. Very little water is needed for the 1st few weeks. I keep the RH high and water approximately 2 shot glasses every 4 days or so :love_you_gesture:

No more water! Put dome over it and spray the dome as needed.

How about now?
I usually waterboard mine, preparing them for outdoor PNW life.
