Yeah like getting blind!
Friday, November 3. Day 11 of flower.
Day 8 above ground.
I mixed 1 gallon of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, added to yesterdays leftovers, 5.78PH and 1.79EC. The BK clones in flower got 2.75 quarts each with 27% run off. The potential mothers got 12oz each. The sprouts and unhatched seed got 2oz poured around the edges of each cup. Here is some White Tahoe Cookies currently
curing.
Saturday, November 4. Day 12 of flower.
Should be seeing buttons forming in the next days on these Banana Kush clones. Day 9 above ground.
. So the sprout in the rear has not moved, no roots showing, I think it’s dead. The third seed I planted to the left has not broken the surface yet. The one up front does not seem to have moved, but when I looked up close there are new true leaves coming in beside the existing ones. Maybe too much light? It is still on 24/7 in that tent, waiting for that seed to pop. I mixed 2 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, 5.87PH and 1.75EC. The girls in flower got 3 quarts each with about 30% run off. The potential mothers got 12oz each, the sprouts and cuttings got nothing. I checked the moisture content of the hanging flowers and got a minimum of 14.6% moisture, I am trying to add moisture into the air to slow things as I can. I had a craving for chicken noodle soup when I woke up today, so a trip to the grocery store. I got a whole chicken, a bag of carrots, a bunch of celery, and a bag of onions. Covered the chicken in water with some veggy scraps to simmer for a bit more than an hour. Removed the chicken when it was falling off the bone. Removed the bones and skin. Strained the broth back into the same pot, added the vegetables, some turmeric, salt, pepper, garlic powder and a bit of oregano to simmer while chopping the chicken up. Added it back with some pasta and a little vinegar. It turned out pretty good, and fit my diet of preparing all of my own food.
Beats the shit out of the canned stuff.
Now that’ll some chicken noodle soup!!
Sunday, November 5. Day 13 of flower.
Day 10 above ground.
Not really sure why I am not seeing more from the seedling/s. I dug around and the third one planted has done nothing. The second one, in the rear, has not shown any roots yet. I uncovered it a bit, and unplugged the seedling heat mat. I mixed 2 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, added to leftovers, 5.78PH and 1.81EC. The clones in flower got 3 quarts each with 33% run off. The potential mothers got pruned back again and fed 12oz each. Just a misting on the sprouts.
Monday, November 6. Day 14 of flower.
Day 11 above ground.
So after posting yesterday, I had unplugged the seedling mat and put the light in the small tent back onto a 6/2 light schedule, hoping I will see some growth starting in those seedlings. Still unsure about the one in the rear. DLI above those seedlings is 8. DLI is 14 above the potential mothers and the cuttings rooting. Today before feeding I lowered the light in the flower tent another 6 inches, it is now between 17 and 22 inches from the tops of the 2 clones at 255 watts, DLI is 32-35 across the top of the canopy. I also checked the moisture content of the flowers hanging to dry and it was 14-16%. I mixed 2 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus 5.87PH and 1.86EC. The 2 clones in flower got 3 quarts each with 30-33% run off. The potential mothers got 12oz each. The 2 cuttings of BK6 rooting got 8oz each. The sprout/seedlings got 2oz each.
Tuesday, November 7. Day 15 of flower.
Day 12 above ground.
I started mixing 2 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus and added the leftovers. Somehow the EC was 2.5, which does not make sense. I checked the EC of my well water and it was right where it always is, less than .200EC. Instead of pouring it out I just added water until I got it below 2.0EC, I am guessing I messed up the settings on my scales. I set the PH at 5.78 and gave 3 quarts to each clone in flower and got 30% run off. The potential mothers got 12oz each, nothing else got fed. Last night I did some minor defoliation under the screen and a little up top.
I lowered the Bloom Plus light in the center of the 4x4 to the same as the HLG 260rspec and it is set at 118 watts for a total of 370 watts. The DLI across the canopy is between 36 and 44 now. Hoping to push more light down into the plants. The moisture meter is showing between 13 and 15% on the drying flowers. I just checked my scales and must have accidentally hit the mode button before weighing out my dry nutrients. A good way to see if your scales are accurate is to weigh an American nickel, they are approximately 5 grams. The one I used weighed 4.93 grams. When I put it on the scale it first said 3 point something so I knew it was off and started pressing the mode button till I found the grams setting again.
Yep you’re old school like me Skippy!
Wednesday, November 8. Day 16 of flower.
Day 13 above ground.
I set the PH on the leftover Jacks from yesterday at 5.78, fed 2.75 quarts to each clone in flower, 25% run off. Potential mothers got 12oz each. The one Pure Indica sprout got 4 oz. The hanging flowers were 10-12% moisture so I bucked those branches into paper bags and will start trimming soon.
Thursday, November 9. Day 17 of flower.
I really need to defoliate that and remove some more of those lower branches. Day 14 above ground.
In that last pic I had just removed about 3/4 of an inch of coco from the cup that seed was planted in. The sprout that has been in the rear is dead, I guess it was buried too deep as well. I tried the same with the last seed planted and can’t even find it in the coco. I may just put a couple more seeds to soak this evening. Plus I lied in my previous post about run off from the clones in flower, run off last night was about 10%. I mixed 4 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, added to the leftovers, 5.78PH and 1.91EC. The clones in flower got 1 gallon each, run off was 31%, and 35% for each one. The potential mothers got 12oz each, the 2 cuttings got 8oz each.
It’s still Thursday. 2 More Pure Indica seeds soaking in 25% h2o2/75% h2o.
They sure aren’t going to grow inside those little plastic envelopes. I have never had this much failure in starting seeds as I have this year. 4 Out of 9 failures that went into the coco, or 4/11 if you include these 2 soaking. I think it must be a combination of, at least right now, very low humidity and my poor eyesight. The low humidity could account for the last 2 failures by itself. But if I actually planted all the seeds too deep from not seeing clearly how deep the hole I put them in was, could explain it also. Let’s see if I took pictures that might help explain.
That one was Oct 22. Not really all that helpful, I think that is the one growing now. I’ll figure it out, or I won’t.
My entry for the bud of the month November "23. Banana Kush #6.
She Pretty, but I don’t think she will beat @DoneDeal 's entry this month!
Thanks Growmie but I’m not counting my chickens before they hatch lol. Y’all really put up some tough competition this go around
Man Skippy that bud looks incredible!! Awesome job bro. You’re gonna be fried.
Friday, November 10. Day 18 of flower.
I swapped the short legs under the screen for some 6 inches taller. I removed some of the thin branches down low and some of the fan leaves.
The Mothers and 1 seedling. Day 15 above ground.
These 2 seeds soaked for more than 12 hours and got moved onto a damp paper towel inside a plastic container.
I mixed 2 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, added yesterdays leftovers, 5.87PH and 1.87EC. I fed 1 gallon each to the clones in flower, got 33% run off. The seedling got 3oz. The mothers got 12oz each. I want to do more defol in the flower tent, but I will let them recover some first.
Saturday, November 11. Banana Kush #7 is trimmed and in a half pound grove bag. Total trimmed flower weighs 203 grams, or 7.25 ounces.
Very respectable.
I’m happy with that, it was the shorter of the 2 Banana Kush plants I had growing. I should have as much if not more on the last one I have to trim up.
