Saturday, October 28. Day 76 of flower.

Day 5 of flower.

Day 2 above ground(?)

I mixed 4 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, 5.78PH and 1.81EC. The 2 clones in the flower tent are in only 3 gallon grow bags vs. the 5 gallon bags the larger girls are in. The clones got 2.25 quarts each, BK6 got 5 quarts, BK7 got 3.5 quarts, the potential mothers got 12 oz each. I did mess with the top sprout in the third pic to clean the coco off of it, but it doesn’t seem to have changed in 2 days. So because I definitely want at least 2 Pure Indica plants, I dropped a seed in some distilled water with h2o2.

If worse comes to worst, I will end up with 3 of them. Moisture meter still reading almost 15% on the hanging flowers.

It’s still Saturday, I keep forgetting to include changing the lighting schedule. The flower tent had been on a schedule turning on at 2PM and off at 2 AM. I have recently been unplugging the timer for an hour during dark periods every 3 days or so and am currently having them come on 5 PM. I am aiming to push that to at least 6 PM and not later than 8 PM. Since this probably makes no sense to anyone, including me, the lights are still coming on for 12 hours a day but getting an extra hour of darkness every few days. I am trying to achieve a way to harvest 2 plants every 5-6 weeks instead of 4 plants at a time. I could probably just move the whole lighting schedule 1 more time all at once since 2 of them are almost done, and the clones shouldn’t suffer greatly from extra darkness. I am trying to have the heat from the lights on at night when it is cold. Everything else is under the HLG 135 rspec at 50 watts for 24 hours a day. When the sprouts are showing the second set of true leaves, and the clones are rooted, I will put them on a timer again 6 hours on, 2 hours off. Unless I come up with some other weird idea.

Sunday, October 29.

That is my kitchen scale, which I now know needs to be cleaned desperately. On top is an old Tupperware container full of White Tahoe Cookies #1. This may be my favorite thing I have grown in my 4 grows so far. 255 grams is almost 9oz, but the sweet-leaf has not been removed from the buds. I mostly did a wet trim, at least of all the fan leaves. The very tops of the plant are still attached to the stems, and despite removing most of the larfy stuff down low long before harvest, there is still some airy stuff mixed in with the good stuff. This will probably be less than 8 oz of flower after final trimming and I am happy with that. This flower is covered in frost and smells like a perfume, but with a strong smell that can almost make one recoil in the way that skunk can, just not the same as I remember from Skunk weed. The tester was showing between 12 and 12.8% moisture on the flowers probed, so I wanted to buck this plant down to this state to slow down the drying. This is a closer look at one of the tops as it is now, waiting for a final trim and the sweating of flowers.

White Tahoe Cookies #2 is ready for the same treatment.

Day 6 of flower.

Day 3 above ground.

I mixed 3 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, added to the leftovers, 5.78PH and 1.81EC. The 2 clones in flower got 2.5 quarts each, BK6 got 5 quarts, BK7 got 3.5 quarts, this is all in one feeding. Run off was about 40% on everything. The potential mothers got 12oz each, the cuttings got water sprayed into the domes covering them. I made a mistake yesterday by turning off the oscillating fans in the flower tent for pics and forgetting to turn them back on. I should check on stuff like that. This Pure Indica seed was soaking in water and h2o2 for 24 hours, I almost forgot about it.

I placed it in some coco.

I covered it in coco and watered it in with 4 oz of Jacks. Covered it with a dome, and raised it and the other sprouts up off the seedling mat.

Time for trim jail.

Sunday, October 29. Still.

White Tahoe Cookies #2.

Like before, still needs to be finished trimming and getting to sweat at the correct RH. Close to 50% of that weight is the tops. About 40% of the first one was the tops. A few closer in shots of some White Tahoe Cookies #2.

This plant was shorter, with thicker flowers and more leaves coming from the flowers. The smell seems much like the first plant, but way less intense. The flower I smoked that got cut a couple weeks back is very good and just like the smell seems less intense than the first one. That total is more than 11oz but some of that weight will end up in the trash, some into a larf bag for whatever. Easily getting 8oz of quality flower from that one, or at least 1lb from the 2 plants. All of that is in 4 one half pound Grove Bags with some stems added in to retain moisture. I will move some of this into smaller Grove bags while trimming, some of those will get heat sealed. Now if I can keep myself from screwing up the rest of the drying and cure process, I will be very happy with this harvest. I am thinking of chopping and washing one of the Banana Kush tomorrow as it’s 11 weeks and both of the girls leaves are showing their age.

Day 7 of flower.

Day 4 above ground.

I mixed 3 gallons of Jacks 4/2, forgot the tribus, added to the leftovers, 5.87PH and 1.86EC. The BK clones got 2.5 quarts each, BK6 got 4.5 quarts, BK7 got 3.5 quarts, and run off was about 40% for all. The potential mothers got 12oz each. I finished trimming WTC#1 and ended with 183 grams of flower, about half of that was the tops. Ended up with 70 grams of trim and airy flowers. That is about 6 and a half ounces of flower. The hygrometers placed inside the grove bags read 55% and 57% after about a half hour. I’m happy with that. The Banana Kush girls are coming down tomorrow for a bud wash and hanging to dry.

Tuesday, October 31. Day 79/Harvest Day. Banana Kush #6&7, #6 is on the right.

Day 8 of flower.

Day 5 above ground.

I harvested both Banana Kush plants and did a bud wash for both plants. I set up everything just like I did last week, exactly the same. When I was hanging almost the last of the BK plants to dry, I heard a noise I was unfamiliar with. It was the sound of that shower curtain rod collapsing under the weight of all that wet flower. So I set it up again the way it is in the pic shown, with the curtain rod on top of the tub surround. I caught more than half of it. Everything that hit the floor of the tub got washed and rinsed again. I mixed 2 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, 5.78PH and 1.8EC. The BK clones in flower got 2.5 quarts each, with about 40% run off. The potential mothers got 12oz each. I misted inside the domes on the cuttings, which both have just now visible roots starting to hit the sides of the cups they are planted in. That is 9 days from taking the cuttings. I cleaned up a little in the flower tent, lowering the height of the HLG 260rspec light about 8-10 iinches. It is turned up all the way, 255 watts. With the other 2 fixtures unplugged, the DLI is 30-32 at the top of the canopy. I also lowered the light hanging in the 2x4 tent about 6 inches.

Wednesday, November 1. Day 9 of flower.

Day 6 above ground.

The sprout with the true leaves now has roots starting to touch the sides of the clear solo cups. The one in the rear does not. The third seed has not broken the surface. It got cold here last night and is supposed to get that way again tonight. I put the sprouts down into contact with the heat mat, at least for the evening. The 2 recent cuttings now have multiple roots showing against the sides of the clear cups. The 3 potential mothers are seemingly ok. I mixed 2 gallons of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, 5.78PH and 1.83EC. The girls in flower got 2.5 quarts each with 30% run off. The potential mothers got 12oz each, the sprouts and cuttings got 2oz each. I am leaving the domes off for a few hours at least. Here is one of the Colas from Banana Kush #6, the mother of the 2 clones in flower one day after harvest.

Still Wednesday, I got White Tahoe Cookies #2 trimmed and placed in 4 Grove bags. The total flower was 249 grams, a little shy of 9oz. and I am happy to be done with that part of the grow. Doing 2 plants at a time for harvest is so much easier than 4. The other 2 plants will probably be ready to start trimming up in another 5 to 7 days. That makes 432 grams of flower off of 1 of my 2x4 carts which makes me very happy. I didn’t weigh the trim from this plant, just stored it with the other. I placed the 4 Grove bags inside a plastic bin/container I got from the thrift store that is meant for underbed storage, I think. I placed a hygrometer inside each bag, and another inside the container. The container is in an area that is cooler than most living spaces and I also put a small container of water with a wicking cloth in it to add RH inside the container. I will change out that water container every few days for the next few weeks or until I figure out how to raise the humidity in there without having to do it manually. I also managed to flush out those 4 root-balls and get the used coco in another of those same containers with the lid off for now to let it dry up a little. The used grow bags, roots and trunk of the plants are in the garbage. No sign of bud mold on anything so far and I’m halfway through the trimming and bagging process on my first grow after taking a year off from it. This can be a very productive hobby to get into!

Thursday, November 2. Day 10 of flower. Banana Kush #6 clones.

Day 7 above ground.

While it doesn’t appear to be growing, the one seedling is growing roots. The second one isn’t showing any yet. The third seed planted of the Pure Indica hasn’t broken ground yet. I mixed 1 gallon of Jacks 4/2 w/tribus, added that to the leftovers, 5.78PH and 1.83EC. The clones in flower got 2.5 quarts each with 25% run off. The potential mothers got 12oz each.

It’s still Thursday. I got the trim from White Tahoe Cookies #1 out of the freezer, I did not make it to the bottom of the bag before running out of energy.

Thirteen and a half grams of Kief should come in handy for something! This is why God made Trim bins.
