I’m now in the middle of week 12 of flower (145 days old) and was running both lights 8-10" from the canopy and watering 3/4 gallon of rain water daily. I feed FF every 3 days. Recently had a heat spell (tent heat was 85) and noticed new sprouts on the tops of the buds. Think it was heat stress so i raised the lights to 15" and continued. Found out that 3/4 G is too much at that height and plant didn’t absorb it which resulted in overwater!
Pistols are still clear but developing. What should i do? How does it look? Help me O Swami!
I do see some heat/light stress which lead to a little foxtailing this isn’t really a big deal foxtails are pretty much just a cosmetic issue, I have been seeing guys cutting the foxtails off to stop their growth and it seemed to work if you’re worried about them. My concern with light n heat stress at this stage is it evaporates the terpenes and damages the trichomes. As for the overwatering I’d just give it time to get dry, I either lift the pot or simply stick my fingers in the soil you want it dry to your first knuckle before watering
Welcome, I don’t see anything to worry about really I would keep the lights up where you have them for another week or so and back them off a little more and try to get the temps lower that should convince her it’s time to ripen up… good looking plant by the way
I’m with @MeEasy I had some haze foxtail despite measures I took to minimize them At harvest I trimmed them off and kept them separate. If you can, keep the heat in check. I would also back off on light intensity. Both as to height and decreased draw.
When you check trichomes don’t look at the foxtails. Look at original calyx to determine harvest.
Not bad at all. Take a picture with your phone camera, lights off and zoom in on trichs. I have a feeling there further along than they seem. Sticky icky
I would say that I’ve waited this long (12 weeks flower/ 7 weeks in veg/ 2 weeks in seedling) it won’t hurt to wait a couple weeks for some amber! You think it won’t come?
Following because I have two plants that are like…. Older than these and still have clear trichomes! (My
Light is the problem- my first grow and super cheap lights)
But following for me to get info.
I’m guessing by the bud this is a high sativa strain so I definitely agree with letting them go longer if I’m right about it being sativa that is. I let my sativa go much longer than I do the indica because indica already has some natural tendency of couch lock/ body high and my smokers don’t like to much of it
Last report on this one. Harvested March 7th. 2 weeks seedling, 7 weeks in veg and 13 weeks flower. Started to see some amber and pulled the trigger! Came out very nice! 10.4 z!! I usually don’t smoke because i get couch locked but this one gets me going and moving. Love it!
