Silica with Jacks

TPS Silica Gold seems like a Good choice. Anyone have good results with the combo?? Jacks worked nicely the 1st time for me ( Thankfully the Gurus here showed me the way) but I need stronger branches. I was checking out power Si… but with the price of top shelf bud bottoming locally, I just cant justify paying for much more then maybe Recharge with my Jacks 321, i dont know if others feel the same, or are in the same situation , but things $$$$ are really changing quickly with the market…

Silica is very beneficial. It strengthens the plant helping it to hold up heavy flowers. It also helps with disease resistance. Trichomes are predominantly made of silica as well.

I run Jacks and also use a silica product. They are pretty much all the same, so you can price-compare. It it’s made of potassium silicate, then it will work.

I use the TPS Silica and jacks from start to finish minus the last 2 weeks of water feed only :love_you_gesture:

Armor si is cheap. Works just fine. Approx 20$ for a 1 liter.

I used 3-5ml per gallon of botanicare silica blast for the first time this grow and i do notice a difference…i will also add that i let it sit for 10-15min b4 adding the rest of my nute ratios. “They” say it makes a difference to let it begin its purpose…i dont always listen to “them” but it made sense so its part of my ritual. Lol. Im cutting down and drying some very dense buds that i honestly think the silica aided in growth!

you must add silica to water first…in RO or distilled until 100ppm, then pH to 7.
then add rest of nutes…then final pH.

the silica raises the pH to almost 9…pHing to 7 is better for the remaining nutes added.

@nicky has an explanation here:

I use 3-5 ml per gallon and it needs to go in 1st before the jacks :love_you_gesture:

I always have sagging branches from heavy colas. Good problem to have I suppose. Maybe I need to add silica too? I currently stake them

I used tps gold and jacks for several runs. I felt they were a great combo. Just let the silica mix in completely, before adding part A 5-12-26 :v::leaves:

I use jacks high performance for outdoor with silica. I use a 1 gallon jug and put in my yucca- NPK raw and my silica NPK raw as well. Both are a powder, i fill my gallon jug half full then shake vigoursly to mix and ad to my water first. Then jacks and ful power fulvic acid. Plants are happy.

I think the silica made from potassium dioxide work best. Like rhino skin or stroud silica. and NPK raw silica
