Hey guys, I am also looking at the pistols as well. They too are like, I’ma say 80-90% red. But on one of my plants, all the pistols are red, 100%, but there are 0 amber trichomes to be seen. So that’s kind of misrepresentative on it’s own. You know? Anyways, it’ll take me a week+ to get to the last one anyway, and that’s if I feel like the last 3 are even ready at that point. So it’s not like it’s gonna be happening overnight. I haven’t finished the 2nd one even yet. Also, I read about doing the top part and leaving the bottom branches for a couple of weeks. So like on the 1st one today, I looked at maybe 70% of the buds and made sure they all looked like my previous photo before clipping them. Anyway, it is what it is. 20% huh? Well that just fucking blows chunks doesn’t it. I’ll not even cover what I’ve put out on the AEP bill with that. Might just not be worth continuing at all if that’s the case. Sell my stuff and find a new hobby. ![]()
Here are some shots of the one I’m looking at now. I found the one that seems to have the real red hairs. Then for the shots of the trichs, honestly I can’t seem to take a still shot so they’re the best I can get tonight. And these are from top and bottom, biggest tor very smallest.

Late readers appreciate shared information as is above.
On the road, again.DDD
you can’t judge ripeness by the pistils alone. There are lots of conditions and deficiencies that can cause early pistol death. With the problems I’ve been having this round I have a few that most of the pistils dark. I still have lots of clear trichs though. I still see a few clear ones on the calyxes. I’d say you still have a little time. It can take a while to go from milky to amber.
Definitely so, mine were all damn near all turned before the trichs even started going milky.
Bud city!
Fingers crossed. I still have 4.5 in there without amber. Idky those other 2.5 were so ready so quickly, but I smoked some pre-cure and it’s amazeballs.
Well, it should only get better with curing!
Looks like you gone have a nice finish! Congrats
Ok guys, and gals if any out there. Remember the one that the buds were falling off of? Well I just read that something this is due to fungus. I came across that explanation while Google sensawhatever-when the sugars start to turn white, yellow, and orange because the plant is suiciding herself. So anyway, while 99 sites spoke of this sensawhatever, 1 site spoke of fungus…and buds falling off. Now all my gals leaves are at some stage of leaf dying and only the 1 is dropping buds. So is it fungus and if so should I go ahead and harvest what I have left now?
If it is a fungus, @Caligurl or @Bentstick maybe
should know of a bud safe fungicide for you to use so you dont have to harvest early.
Not knowledgeable enough to offer anything else unfortunately. Gl growmie ![]()
Cool. Maybe one will step in. I do know that my bags are just awful with green slime. I’ve asked about it and everyone has said don’t worry about it. But I do worry about it and occasionally I will use the wet vac to get some of it off. That stuff is everywhere here where I live in the forest. Can’t get rid of it but never thought it’d be inside my house.
Haha pics or it didnt happen ![]()

Uh-yup. It’s a whole lot worse now. When I let it dry a little you can peal it off in pieces. It’s more like the beginnings of moss. Ick!
Hmm thats odd… havent seen that b4. Normally i see a bunch of salt/mineral build up around the outside of the bag not that green slim ![]()

Never seen or heard of that but here is a good go for molds and mildews, and pests not sure of a fungus.
It does come in smaller bottles!
To add on to who highgrow suggested. @Budbrother might be able to give a suggestion too.
It looks a lot like root rot to me:
I didn’t go back and read your entire journal but if not already doing so, add beneficial root bacteria (Mycorrhizae) like Great White, Recharge, etc…and adding a form of trichoderma.
Consider replanting into a new pot with new soil and water less. At this point, it looks pretty bad so you’re not going to do any more harm, then you can then inspect the roots.
I did see above where the roots were growing on top of the medium… when that happens, the roots at the bottom aren’t being watered correctly and watering from the bottom (aka letting them drink water from the bottom by setting the pot in a tub of water)
Edit… the green stuff on the outside of the pot does indicate too much water and probably combined with the heat in the grow area. My outdoor pots get it all the time and I don’t worry but if my indoor pots get it, it raises concern.
Overall plant health looks good. What I got tagged on and saw were some lowers back by the dehumidifier. The moss is an indication of overwatering. I think a dry back is needed. Also, they drink less with age, so watering practices need to be adjusted.
