Miracle Grow is not a good soil for cannabis. It has time released nutrients so you’ll get too much of some nutrients at the wrong time. As they go into flower they need much less nitrogen and as the buds start maturing, if they get too much nitrogen, they put more energy into growing instead of fattening up the buds so just make sure whatever you are giving them has little to no nitrogen (it will be in the Miracle Grow). I’m just not familiar with the nutrients you are using.
Plants look really good for the soil they are in props for that! And good color too not dark green as one would expect to see with that soil looks like she handles the nitrogen pellets well or well is handling them haha and I don’t think you need to ramp anything up she seems to be performing well!
So I checked what I’ve been feeding her and yeah , by the numbers on the bottles they add up to 6 total, I can adjust things to take that out and still be feeding her what she needs . I’ll do that this week and see if I see anything change. I was seeing that the buds are tall and not chunky together but she still has time to go.
They do look pretty elongated but still many weeks of growing to do! As frosty as they are i think the bud structure has more to do with the genes of the plant no so much feeding regimen,
pretty identical clones ones been getting bud boosters the other just gets the base nutes I give the rest and I can’t tell the difference in structure or density so I won’t be using any flower boosters or anything like that again, also I have a clone that’s a little bigger that I give heavier feeds to painted nails and so far no difference in bud structure… so I think your doing pretty well and she should chunk up! Keep it up, looks good!
I looked and they were about 13 or 14 inches away. So I moved them as high as I can, leaving a ait gap for the fins on my red specs. So now they are 16 to 18 inches away…
Very nice plant, I grow in mg soil and it’s got its problems but I grow good weed in it. Your buds have a long time and will fill in great. Keep up the good work.
Thanks , I normally do hydroponics but this one took off and I had to finish her… good to hear someone else does it in MG, I did fix farm but it had a ton of bugs in it… like the soil was crawling at one point… I seen one little fly and I put the traps out and I haven’t seen anymore. But I am going to adjust the nutrition to see if I can lessen the nitrogen.
One more thing I’ve been feeding her 1 gallon a day, been doing that since she’s been in flowering mode… and I look at the leaves and they never look over done or drop, or have any discoloration,…
Yes I saw your plant did not have any nute burn or clawing, looks really happy, and so far your holding your green color. Sometimes with mg the peat in the soil starts to decompose and make pH more acidic further into flower and can cause problems, but you look good man. Keep doing what you are it’s working. I’m set to watch your thread, keep posting pics would like to see how she looks in a couple more weeks
She shouldn’t need a gallon every day. You should only water when the pot feels super light (like when you first filled it and had no water in it) or it’s dry, dry up to your second knuckle. Fungus gnats love that wet environment as well as it possibly getting the roots way over saturated. Cannabis does not like wet feet
EDIT: Glad to hear you moved your lights up. They should be good there from now on… can’t imagine they will stretch anymore at this point, but it also helps with light stress.
Well I did stop for a day , I looked in and she was kinda leaning over a bit and the leaves look droopy, I will see I’ll miss the water in the am and I’ll see what it looks like when I get home , this time tomorrow. I lifted the pot and it has some weight to it, kinda… we will see. One day won’t kill it. I want to see as well, its getting kinda a pain making water up every morning, (i do fill the jug and let it sit 24h before I mix it up). thanks for all the assistance and advice.
Well today she was not that happy when I got home, lower leaves were drooping and the leaves on the buds were. Leaning down. The pot was light. But she looks like she has a drinking problem. I do give her 2 or 3 ml of hydrogaurd every watering. As I do in my hydroponics set up. That might keep it from root rot… and keeps her hungry. … but its was a good test for sure.
hmmmm… well they tell you what they need for sure The ‘pot lift test’ takes some getting used to especially as they are in full bloom… I pretty much had to water every other day faithfully but as they were getting ‘ready’ they use a lot less water. Keep doing what you’re doing but keep lifting the pot as well as that is the best indicator… you’ll eventually get used to how they feel when they need water. Do you water to runoff (I can’t remember if you do)… I water to about 15-20% runoff. I think it keeps salts and stuff from building up and that might be what makes them be able to go 2 days.
Yeah when I feed it the 1 gallon I pour about 1/2 and let it soak in the the rest and I’d say i get about 15 or 20% out the bottom into the tray. Thanks for the advice
