Seriously confused on timing

Growing the Bruce Banner fems this time as opposed to the LSD auto.
The description on the ILGM order page says it’s about 8 weeks to flower. Ok, again, my calendar shows me at 8 weeks since my girls were born as I call it, because that’s when they sprouted. They were all a little slow to germinate this time. So when I put in the day I started germinating, that’s when the journal started counting, so it has me at 10 weeks tomorrow.
But as far as the “8 weeks to flower”, does that mean after 8 weeks from germination, or from sprout, or after 8 weeks in veg.?
I’m trying to look thru other journals growing the same thing and some other people are in weeks 30-40. I really am confused, as always.
Help me out @Graysin @Fiz @dbrn32 and all you other geniuses whose names I can never manage to pull up as a tag for some reason.
I know y’all are sick of me… But dang I suck. I think this might be a successful grow though with just a little bit more help.
Ps my husband still has an LSD AUTO and a BB Fem I started inside that he put outside. The auto is stuck in neutral and the fem is already flowering lol wth.

Neither of these two have anything added or special soil.

Your reading it incorrectly. 8 weeks of flowering.
Autos go round about like this
1 week germ
1 weeks seedling
2-3 weeks veg
7-10 days transition to flower (stretch)
8-10 weekz flowering

Most autos I have grown take about 90 days or more.

I gave up on the autos…I can’t seem to grow them. I am growing 2 Bruce Banner Fems now that I’m trying to figure out. Sorry if I confused you. I know…I talk too much lol

These are the BB Fems I’m working on now. They are 8 weeks since sprouting but 10 weeks according to my journal. I’ve been topping and LST’ing so the are only 8" tall but are filling in nicely… At least I think they are lol

Its still gonna be 8 weeks after flowering starts, auto or photo. Only difference between auto and photo is you dont need to flip lights to 12 and 12 for a auto. They will do it under 18 hours of light. Photos will veg indefinatly.

The 8 weeks is flowering time, like after you flip to 12/12 or outside when the days get shorter and they start flowering. And when they say 8 weeks that’s best case scenario, not my world lol

Correct. These plants veg indefinitely indoors if kept on long light schedule. When light time is reduced enough a mature plant will then transition into flowering. Once that happens expect flowering period to last roughly 8 weeks. The 8 weeks is just an estimate though, could be longer or shorter.

Outdoor plants will behave different, but you can cross that bridge when you get to it.

I’ve had them on 22/2 accidentally in the beginning and didn’t want to back off cause they seemed to like it and I didn’t want to make them think they were ready to flower so I’m still in 21/3 lol
I was thinking about flipping in a week or so but I kinda thought I needed to keep vegging since they are still so short but they are so short because I LST’D, so they are getting wider than tall. Plus I use earth dust and I have to add earth dust boost about a week before flipping. I really gotta get all the timing figured out. I didn’t get much from my last few autos I grew. Some died, the rest gave me maybe a total of a 1/2 o. Gee thanks lol. But anyway… Auto do it their way… So know I’m trying to learn these fems and these are my first.

Ah thank you…I see where I was reading that wrong. That’s 8 weeks to flower but 8 at least 8 weeks OF flower time. Gotcha. But how will I know when the plant is ready to go to flower?
Nevermind I think I know… Just like the auto did. And that means I’m still a long time from it. No trichomes or pistols yet… But getting sticky and stinky. I got time. No hurry

With photos you get to choose. If outside nature will do it for ya but inside most say when a photo is 1/2 the hight you want it to be, flip the lights to 12 and 12.

Well I reckon I’m just gonna keep letting the ladies grow then lol… I’ve got time lol

Thanks to you and everyone else who have helped me out. Much appreciated as always.

I’m late to the party but this is exactly my answer.

I will provide a cautionary warning to ensure if you’re going to let the plant get real big (veg for 12-16 weeks before you flip to flower) that you have your Earth Dust handy to add more food as you grow - I know from experience the bigger they are, the more exponentially they seem to eat.

They look really good! They are “short” because they haven’t started to stretch yet. You can keep them growing in veg a while longer. Once you “flip” your light schedule to 12/12 they will start flowering. It won’t happen overnight. I count “flowering” from when you see hedgehogs on top of the future buds - not from when preflower shows. She will also start reaching for the sky at that point and will get much taller.

I have two photo clones now. They arrived to me weak, starving, and in preflower. I put them on the same time schedule as my autos - 6/2, 6/2, 6/2 - and they revegged. They are growing and filling out and gaining strength in the stems. Once my big tent is available, they are going in there and likely I’ll flip shortly afterward.

All that being said, my last auto of this grow has been in flower for 84 days. (And 127 days since sprout!) So the 8 weeks thing is an estimation, not an expectation.

Yep, My Bruce Banner auto poked her head above dirt February 25th, still waiting for trichomes to cloud over! 130 days today and counting, 12 days of nothing but 6 ice cubes at lights out for her. Hoping this weekend (he says for the 3rd week in a row!).

I have BB auto seeds too, haven’t grown any yet so I’ll take that as a heads up. Is she huge/thick?

I think so, looks like 3 or 4 ounces when dried. Super sticky and stinky!
On the front right is my Dutch Treat, and in the back is the 9Lb Hammer, both photos, lights flipped 12/12 on May 15th during the Moon Baby plantings.

This was her back April 25th…

Well isn’t she a pretty thing! Growing beautifully.

Here’s my Slowpoke, the GG4 autoeternal.

I honestly think she’s going to yield at least 5 oz. She needs to get her chonky behind in gear though and finish.

@Fiz is she foxtailing on you? Lots of white pistils still. But ya, you’ve got some massive buds there!

I think that’s what the issue is, but she has almost no amber trichomes yet. I did do a smoke test and she’s potent, so she may get forcibly evicted. I dialed her lights way back couple of weeks ago hoping it would encourage her, but nope!
