Transfer to Fabric Nursery Bags and place in AC Infinity germinator
Once roots reach bottom cut bag and put into 3 Gal fabric pots
Top water/feed for ~2 week before turning on autopot reservoir
Keep all females. Might keep a male for pollen collection in secondary tent (undecided)
Hope for the best
This grow will be my first non-hydro grow, but still “soilless”. I will be using LST as much as possible, no topping, and netting. May use training clips and soil staples this run if the smaller bags don’t let me do the training I want. I’ll likely stick with selective pruning/trimming and a mild lollipop before flip. Previous grow was super bushy and did great but want to try doing better in that area.
Less than 24 hours and most of the seeds have popped
I had just checked and tails on all but one so potted them. One of the beans was a double, should be interesting. It didn’t have tails but the shell was cracked and two swollen balls in there.
Put light on a 3/10 power level 24/7. Heat matt is a little less than medium on the dial. Keeps it about 77-80F and 80-99% rH. Will adjust if I see any long sprouts start developing.
Moistened the mix with Jacks at 4:2 ratio. Also added King Crab beneficials to the nutes. Same people that make Great White and Orca. Misplaced my Great White so used the King Crab.
Some are trying to break through the soil some have wiggled themselves out of the soil with tail and all above ground so had to put those back under. Those had close to 1" healthy tap roots. Im not sure if just placebo but these seeds have been the fastest to germinate and grow and I hope that translates into awesome plants.
Wondering if a 55 gal res would be too much for the autopot system only using 4 pots. I’d love to only have to mix up nutrients once, or as few times as possible. Considering it’s the same ratio the entire grow. If I were to do it and run a mixer or circ pump in it would it precipitate salts still if always agitated?
@OGIncognito, forgot to ask you this on my other thread. Do you have to use root control socks or the sheets? Didn’t really considered the $12 per plant expense. I know they say it lasts several runs but from comments elsewhere it seems the copper comes off after first use.
OG and Serf hope ya don’t mind me answering, yes socks should be used keeps roots from ending up growing in the pot base, for reuse I can let you know in a bit, I reused one to test it out, all the copper was gone on my last 2 I used, but I think it’s more the materials they are made of not just the copper on them.
Yes I use the socks on the Geo and the disk on my plastic pot set up to keep the roots from growing into the trays. I’ve got disk 4 years old and haven’t had any issues
Ok I’ll use the socks and see how long they last if it ever gets here. Been stuck a state next to me for 4 days. Doubting it will be here tomorrow like it’s supposed to.
Also that twin seed has two sprouts coming out. Weird thing is the seed looked completely normal.
