Seeds not taking off

Two key points I noticed is the pre-soak to balance the pH as the cubes are naturally alkaline so they need a slightly acidic soak.
And then the point that rockwool holds water heavy at the bottom, so light misting is only to wet the top a bit. Flood and drain would seem to make the lower end overly wet in my opinion.

As I said they dont look too bad. Not damped off or the stems would be thinner at the base. They just aren’t straight. Is your light directly overhead? You may need to poke a toothpick into the cube and use a twist tie to hold the straight a few days until they root better.

Yea the lights are directly over them,

What’s your RH/Temp in the tent? I take it you have good air circulation…

This is what damping off looks like. Watch out for it.
Note the skinny spots in the main stem

Here’s the set up I got for them
Also the temp is 70

How big of a grow space will you have? Tent?
What light do you have for that?

I have 9x9 room using a 4x8 flood table, but won’t matter if I can’t get the seeds to go

Hope everything works out for you my friend.

Thanks, I’m disappointed how it’s going lol

Things are going good in the process of getting the tent dialed in for the next grow.

Not to nit pick but Im flowering under a MH and the buds are beautiful! You don’t get as much stretch but they will flower!

Happy you had a good experience. In general, MH lacks the full red spectrum necessary for optimal flowering.

I would put them in front of a fan to dry the Rockwall cubes. For a day. Then I would make a 1/4 strength nutrient mix and water lightly. Outside of the cube not directly in the middle. People have different ways of doing things. But with my experience that I found. I remove the humidity dome once the seedlings break the surface. I have nothing but problems when I leave it on past that. Dampening off/ PM /leaf rot. I use old lights as well! I can’t afford leds! Everyone was telling me to get rid of them and upgrade. Old tech works fine!!! Not as NICE as new leds but they get the job done! Try not to get too down on yourself. When I first started growing it seems like I ran into problems at every turn! Always something going wrong. Now I’m on my third indoor crop.( first one good second one hermie on me and made seeds!) And I’ve got a pretty good system going. If you never run into any issues you won’t become a better grower. :metal:t5:

Right on. Challenge makes us stronger.

Growing Pains :confounded:

We all had them when we were learning.

For myself I’m still ln the I dont know shizzz category. But I learn something new everyday from conversations like this.

Should I try letting them dry all the way out?

My seedling were molding and dampening off just a couple days ago. I removed the dome. Put the fan on them. And I let the tray go dry.but not the plug. just for one night. And then put just enough water to touch the bottom of plugs. They will wick the water up. Fan for sure drying theM out. I have some more beans I will send you if need a few more
