It’s difficult to expect them to recover if the cubes were overly wet. Seedlings hate wet feet.
Any pointers to revive them?
You’re just going to have to let the cubes dry out and hope for the best. Good lesson learned for your next seedlings. Most of us have made this very mistake when we first started growing, so don’t feel bad about it.
Well yesterday I replaced the cubes with dry ones so it wouldn’t be to bad, and I got the cubes lightly wet and then sprayed the dome only
Did you start feeding nutrients at that point?
That’s probably the best you can do. As a new grower I expect that you will struggle to provide the proper environment for 8 plants anyway (particularly wrt lighting.) Thinning out the weak ones should help.
I have a 2x4 1000w for them
A 2x4 will support the flowering of 2 plants.
Which light? Model and manufacturer, please.
You will want to use (optimally) a metal halide bulb for veg and an HPS bulb for flowering.
Just a suggestion: I would send it back and get a high-efficiency LED for your grow. 240 to 320 watt lamp would be great for a 2x4. You will have a hard time controlling heat in a 2x4 with a MH/HPS bulb. They put out a lot of heat. You will want an LED light that is built with Samsung LM301 diodes. The Amazon LED that put out a purple(ish) color light are worthless.
Side note: You won’t be able to flower a plant with solely a MH bulb.
First seeds were a mixpack. 15 seeds and killed 2/3s of them with too much love (Water)
How would I give them nutrients if there in a seedling tray and only watering with a mist?
Try top watering the rock wool with say 2 mil. of nutrients give or take. but pay close attention to what the instructions say and what the ppms really are
I would worry about getting the seedlings healthy and transferred into a good cannabis soil before I would even think about feeding them.
There in a nuteral media without food how can they get healthy?
All the nutrients a seedling needs is contained in the first set of cotyledon leaves. It should sustain them until they are transplanted.
This is the best article I can find about all around use of rockwool to start seeds.
Most articles repeat info over and over to stretch out the word count.
All of the seedlings I see in the pics look like they would live if given the right environment.
I dont see damping off yet.
Nice info, @Spiney_norman ![]()
I thought I was giving the right environment,
