Seedlings emerged closed no shell

What’s going on everybody, I’ve dealt with helmet, head and stubborn membrane before, but this is a bit different. 2 Seedlings lost seed shell before opening up and breaking ground. I don’t see any membrane holding it together. Maybe I should just keep it moist and wait it out?
Growing medium is Dr. earth soil
Viparspectra lights XS1500

Looking at these pictures close up it’s possible there could be some membrane

They’ll be okay. You can spritz them with water to soften the membrane if you want

I appreciate your response, I have lightly sprayed them but i didn’t see a membrane at first. That’s probably what it is huh?

Its is super thin like fine rice paper.
A little water and a gentle toothpick action and you will have it off. Lift bottom to top.

SUCCESS!!!
Should I put a humidity dome over them or leave them open?

Either way is fine.

For future reference, spit works wonders at softening the membrane when one gets stuck. A little dab of saliva and most of the time its enough for the seedling to break free by itself or makes it super easy to peel off a few hours later

I actually tried that lol I read a few years back that there’s an enzyme in saliva that helps break things like that down

Should I use the humidity domes until they get a little bigger or go ahead and leave them open?

@LilRon i would personally go for domes to keep your humidity up. I leave domes on until the plants are almost ready to out grow the domes. Maybe two weeks.

soldier down!!

So I don’t really have a set amount of time but roughly about the first week I’ll leave dome on with holes completely closed, I will open the holes after about the 2nd week or shorter amounts of time if they fast growers…

But I don’t have a “night time” for my seedlings.
Both my auto’s and photos get 24hours light for the first month or so.
