Licken chicken . Loud and clear, I would get my Azz wore out for saying that over the net
Hey, fellow Jarhead! So I killed the first baby. In trying to bring up humidity, I put a baggie over it. Unfortunately, the heat went up with the humidity. I thought it might revive, but alas, she never did. So baby #2, the one I didnt think would make it, is looking strong. Its several days behind the first but on track. Baggie over it and she’s loving it. However, now I worry cuz the soil is staying so moist. I took the baggie off last night but she immediately showed signs of stress so baggie went right back on. I need to transplant her in a cpl days and now afraid I’ll kill her when she comes out of her baggie! Oy. Any advice appreciated. All indoor now cuz too hot outside, even early. OG Kush. Six day old seedling.
You can grow photo periods for 3 weeks plus in the solo cup before transplanting. I generally transplant at day 14 above ground if their healthy and do this with auto flowering plants, photo periods I’ll let go a week longer or sometimes until I see the plants sex. Post a few pics Sis
Going to be hard getting her out of there but… She will be 10 days up on Thursday. Auto flowering, btw.
Looks nice and healthy, give her a solid week or so and letting the medium dry will help with the transplant. I use a solo cup as a starter pot for photos and my last few runs with autos I’ve dropped them in their forever homes after the tail sprouted and always cover them with a clear misted solo cup the first 14 days or so above ground and water a ring around the dome every 2-3 days to promote root growth…a couple of shot glasses of H2O is all it takes, they absorb the moisture from the air for most of their watering needs
Do you wear rubber gloves when transplanting? Seeing concerns re touching young plants.
I only wear gloves at trimming time
If you moisten the soil at the same time you drop the bean, then once she is ready and you plant her, with the dome/baggie, you will not need to water. I personally do not water the soil for the first 2 weeks. She doesn’t have a root system yet, so no need for water in the soil. She gets what she needs from the humidity and her coty’s.
I do not, but I wash my hands and arms up to my elbows like I am scrubbing in for pre op.
WOW! You’re obviously doing something right!
