Seedling growth is stunted

So i did my usual routine to start my seeds which is put them in a damp paper towel in a ziplock bag and leave in a dark area till they sprout ( I usually let the first white root to grow just a little in the paper towel till i transplant to soil) this works for me 90 % Of time. And worked perfectly fine for my last crops which were seeds from this website. I grew two blueberry, one pineapple haze, and one strawberry kush which turned out my favorite!

These are pictures from that crop a couple weeks
Before harvest.

Anyways my problem is I used the exact same technique with the same seeds soil and everything. Only two seeds took in the soil ( pineapple haze and blueberry which is having its own issues)

So the healthy looking one is the pineapple haze and the little seedling is shocked or something and hasn’t grown in ober a week, that’s where I need your help because I want to save it since my other two seedlings died completely and I’m out of seeds. I took the unhealthy seedling and moved it so it’s not directly under the light because I believe it was getting to hot, i also think I’m might have been over watering. So any input or advice on how to keep the blueberry seedling alive would be much appreciated ā€˜

Second question is it safe to FIM and low stress train my one healthy plant ( pineapple haze)!which I did with my last crop, the only issue is out of all four plants the pineapple haze was the only plant to hermie out in the last few weeks of flowering. Luckily it wasn’t bad enough to cause the other three plants to be ruined besides the occasional seed here and there. So I’m wondering if fimming my one healthy pineapple haze plant and scrogging it will be okay or if the fimming and scrogging is what caused it to hermie out!?
Thanks for any input this is my first post so I’m hoping for some good advice!!!

you may have accidentally broken tap root ?
not sure,maybe root rot?
have you filled out grow ticket? it asks all the questions, such as medium type,ph,and other factors in the grow… @rad13

Strain- pineapple haze and strawberry kush (which is the one with stunted/ shocked growth) both pictures were taken at the same time and also transplanted into soil at the same time so u can see how stunted the strawberry kush is. Whith my last crop I had four plants 2 blueberry, 1 strawberry kush and 1 pineapple haze all planted and watered the same, this is what they looked like at the veg stage.

So this time tried four plants again that’s what i usually grow ( i only have four crops under my belt so I’m a little bit of a newbie but all previous crops turned out good, yield could have been better since I only have a400 watt hps and I’m tryinf to upgrade). Anyways two of the seed transplanted to soil were dead within a day or two, i think I damaged the tap route on one and the other one had root rot because I went to water it ( the seed had just barely poked out of the soil) and the see floated away I could see the tap root and it was dark brown and shriveled! That’s why I believe the two seedlings that died were from over watering and root rot.

Watering - i was watering twice a day but it was about 22 oz of water spread out between all four 5 gallon pots a day ( i don’t like transplanting so i start the seeds in five gallon buckets which could also be a problem)

Temp- stays around 75 because i have my light on 24 hours a day.

Growing medium- I use happy frog soil

Anyways I’m trying to salvage the one healthy plant I have which is the pineapple haze, and get the most yield as I can from it. So my main question is it safe to fim the plant and once it recovers and grows out scrog it. I did this to all four of my plants last time and it worked good besides the fact the pineapple haze plant hermied out a few weeks before the end of flower. I believe this was because I went on vacation for two weeks and had a friend with zero growing experience tend to my plants. Or the pineapple haze genetics doesn’t like to be dimmed and Scrogged which I hope isn’t the case, because that’s my plan with my one healthy plant.

This picture was taken yesterday and I’m about to fim it today or tomorrow, do u think that’s safe to do?!

@rad13

I think I see some potential areas we could help you improve.

Let’s follow the support ticket. One thing at a time to keep this simple!

Soil in 5 gallon buckets. Are there any holes in those buckets?

Here is what I recommend. These are small quart containers, just to give you an idea

@bob31 do u think it would be okay for me to FIM my on thriving plant (pineapple haze), and then once it grow out a bit to scrog the plant that way I can fill up my tent with an even canopy and get the max yield from my one plant, because I believe the strawberry kush seedling had about 50/50 Chance of surviving, I’m gonna let the seedlings dry up a bit and skip watering it today so it can get some oxygen I’m case over watering was the problem.

This photo is from today of the pineapple haze, do you think it would be ok to FIM it within a day or two?!

How old and how many nodes is she? She’s not an auto, correct? @rad13

@bob31 no she’s not an auto, I bought the seed from this website so it’s a feminized seed. It’s genetics are 70% sativa and 30% indica. My last crop i grew one of then pineapple haze seeds and fimmed and scrogged it and it worked great besides the fact she hermied a lil bit a few weeks before harbest, but this only cause a few seeds to grow that I trimmed out I think the pollen spread due to fans to my three other plants cuz i found a few seeds while trimming. All the bud still turned out great and smokes and tastes. This hermie also happened when I went on vacation and tried to trust a friend to tend to my planfs for two weeks but I believe she was part of the reason my pineapple haze plant slightly hermied out

Anyways my plant is currently on its fifth node which is around the time I fimmed them last time and had success with! So do you think i should go ahead with the FIM and scrog like i did last time, I really don’t have much to lose simce two and a half of my seedlings failed to tame root:/

Yep 5th node is the happy time. As long as she is in her forever pot then she can be fined or topped no problem.

I have some Pineapple Express I procured locally and it is similar to the PH you are growing. It is a good smoke!

This is one of my favorite visuals! @rad13

fimming vs trimming

ok np, my pleasure. Tag me anytime and ask away. if i don’t know the answer I know people that do

@bob31 awesome thanks man i just went ahead and fimmed her. I’ll upload some pictures once she recovers and bushes out. Also is now a good time to start giving her my veg nutes!? I’ve just been doing water for now.

What nutrient line are you using? @rad13

And also what soil is she in?

I’m not familiar with the nute line, but HF is what I use and I love it as well. @rad13

@bob31 the nutes i use is biothrive which is what I have been using on the previous 5 crops I have done. And it seems to work well!
The soil i use is happy frog which is what I used for my last crop which also worked well! Do you recommend I start using my veg nutes now on the pineapple haze plant I just fimmed, or use water till she recovers. Also are there any other nutes you recommend I thought about using fox farm but the guy at my grow store said he recommended the biothrive.

I don’t know anything about the biothrive, but I am sure they are fine. Do you have their feeding schedule? @rad13

I already replied to the post you deleted lol. I use HF as well.

I would feed her at the next watering

@bob31 currently I’m doing just 15 oz of non chlorinated water everyday this seems to be working because I go to water every morning the entire top soil and about a half inch deep into the soils is pretty bone dry! I will start adding a small bit of veg nutes until she recovers from the fimming and starts bushing out!
Then my normal feeding schedule is about 1/3 of a gallon with veg nutes every other day, basically I water when the top soil is completely dry and I stick my finger in about a half inch and if it’s on the dryer side i water. So this makes my watering schedule every other day

Then once she’s big enough to start scrogging I usually do a half gallon every other day with veg nutes. Since I only have one plant maybe two if the seedling survives ( not looking likely) with this crop, I’m planning on vegging and scrogging it till I have a flat uniform canopy that fills my tent and grow space up pretty well then switch the lights to 12 and 12 and start my flowering nutes ( which I usually water half gallon every other day )

I live in Colorado Springs and unfortunately my med card recently expired because otherwise I would just buy some clones to replace the dying and dead seedlings

@bob31 do u think my plan to scrog and veg my girl for awhile to fill up my tent to get the most out of my one plant, before switching to flower is a good idea?!

@rad13 a couple of things.

First, sorry to hear about the card.

You are keeping the lower half of that pot wet by watering every day. Potted MJ thrive when they roots can breath a little and by watering everyday they don’t get that opportunity. Try going every other couple of days. It will help them, trust me!

(I water or feed every two or three days depending on my availability!)

Absolutely!
