Has anybody hear ScrOGed a Bruce Banner in a 3x3 tent. If so what was your outcome?yeild? Ease of growing?im totally new to this. Just been reading alot so far. But anxious to get started. Thanks in advance. Of coarse I like the yield it claims to have. I was just wondering if I could expect a large yeild in that size of a tent. Since it grows so tall I was thinking of ScrOG growing it. My setup will consist of soil in a 5 gal breathable pot in a 3x3 tent exhaust fan with 6” ducting with compatible carbon filter. And the lighting I’m thinking of going with is the meizhi 900w. Am I just dreaming or is this doable for a newbie.
I wouldn’t worry about yield so early on. I’m focusing on getting through a grow as smoothly as possible. Next grow I’ll try to get a bigger yield. Time after that even more. But the yield numbers breeders give is not for a novice. That is under perfect circumstances with a experienced grower in my opinion. And for indoors that means a high quality light and everything being perfect from start to finish.
Thanks@doobienoobie. Makes since. I get so wrapped up in reading all this stuff. I feel like I want to just dive into it head first. I see how Scrog method works and then I read about how much a certain breed will harvest and I probably need to take a deep breath and crawl before I walk. Lol. Thanks again
Haha yep I know how you feel. But look up failed first grows and you’ll find a bunch. Good research, good planning, and taking the time to get the right equipment before you start all are things that will help to be successful. I started with the same thought process you had then after all the research realized I better just focus on getting started the right way and learn the basics before trying to pull in pounds of bud.
Lights, pruning and growing method just as important of not more than scoging them.
Go to the grow journals here, find a plant that you’d be proud to own and grow one just like it (EZ)
On yield its going to be more reliant on growing knowledge and the three things above more than what your seed is
You will also find different phenotypes of the same genetic, you could grow 10 bruce banner and have alot of different looking plants with each their own caracteristic, one might produce huge flowers and less trichromes while one would pull out smaller flowers covered in frost while one stays small and bushy and the other one grows very tall, it is very hard to compare with eachother on here because everyone has a different setup and environmental conditions. I would say scrogging in a great idea in a tent if breeder says plant will grow tall
Ok thanks boardsbird. Got it.
Thanks for that blasting. I figured pretty much all close to the same with the same kind of seeds. Not the case though. I read on the seed site that it would grow 4-5 feet. My tent is only going to be 6ft and I had read up on the ScrOG method. But being a newbie maybe I should just stick with a straight grow. Like noobiedoobie said get the basics down and the volume will follow.
Scrog would still be great because you can keep an even canopy, ive got 5" tents and i cant go.higher because my basement is low so best is to scrog for me, not really for a yield reason. Best I recommend is dont veg too long if you are scared of height and apply LST to bend branches, plants can double or triple when you put them into flower so be aware of this
Great. Thanks for that too. I really appreciate the info. I think I read where to only fill up 75% of your screen. Does that sound about right @Blasting
I guess sometimes that might be best sometimes not, I have had plants gain 50% of their initial size while some almost tripled… some plant will trigger flowering earlier and stretch less… some will stretch more, this citrus skunk I just grew kept stretching until like day 25 of light switch lol.
