Scrap or grow it out, seed from a self pollenated grow

Thoughts. Should i grow it out or scrap.seed came from a grow that self pollenated. However the seed it self came from another female in the tent the was pollenated. Not the actual plant that self pollenated. Been noticing more swollen calyx popping up.

Im a first timer and need some advice. Any would be greatly appreciated. I have this one outdoors with a few others ive had growing since mid April. All in flowering. Unfortunately i had surgery and was away for a week. Came back and found this one like this. I think i caused this one to herm. Am i right?

That is a hermie, female and male, i would trash it especially if you have other females in the area @Hankwi1

I do have other females and they were all together, covered so i was unable to remove cover on schedule as i normally would. That was the only one that hermed though. Learning as i grow. Thank you, i really appreciate that. Will discard.

Lol smoking this this weekend its a super skunk ilgm its from a plant my daughter grew last year outside, got 10 ounces :+1:t3:

Every mj plant has the potential to hermie, they are naturally prone to pollinate its self if it doesn’t find a mate. They say a seed from a hermie is more prone than normal, so its advised you keep a close eye on the plant during flower. But yours looks great, all female :+1:t3:

My original super skunk I bumped my timer to my lights and it was turning on in the middle of the night for 15 to 30 minutes, I didn’t catch it until my plant was covered with male flowers, the whole plant was pollinated and when I harvested I had 300 seeds :upside_down_face: still going to grow some in my closet @Bluedream1

Lol i pretty much had the same thing happen. Opend a vent in tent and forgot to close it. 2 weeks later bam pollen all over ther fan leaves. Destroyed 6 girls.

Actually, that appears to be full on male.

Me too

Me too also.
I have about 20 seeds left from a “purple something” that always perform admirably. They veg nicely, flower automatically and have so far been 100% female.

Nature finds a way.

This is true but it depends on why it hermied.
If it is due to extreme stress like light problems, heat, cold or physical damage, it is less likely to pass any tendency along.
If it is naturally in the genes to hermie anyway then it will pass that trait on.

Yeah i had given it a little extra time and it started to become a little more definitive so i did discard it. Hurt to do it but had to lol

We all been there. I had a entire grow become pollenated. Hurt my heart so bad. I cried…
