Two Girl Scout Cookie seeds planted about 4 weeks ago. One seems to be flowering, one still in young growth stage. Seems strange. Any comments ?
Human sisters don’t look the same either. Every plant will express a differing phenotype. It is normal.
Suggestion: one plant per pot. The roots will become entangled and compete for water and food. It will create other problems as well if the plant mature at different rates.
Lovely lady in flower on the right.
My concern about splitting the pair would be better to sacrifice the left seedling and safely keep the right lady.
Or not.
Some people love to split root balls.
Probably dulls my hand saw.
I am just going to let them both continue. I was just curious if the flowering one will continue to grow in height as they both are only about 3 inches tall and the other one is still growing vegetative leaves.
Me too.
Male and female together for 2-14-2023.
Another pair outdoors 6-1-2024

Also, in 60 years of growing, I have never seen a plant so small and so young flowering.
I’m assuming these are autoflowers, yes?
The flowering one also looks much darker than the one still in veg; looks like it has a lot more nodes for a similar height. They almost look like they were grown under two different lights. Crazy!
