S/O all Coco growers! Looking for advice on watering seedlings in final container in coco!

First off thanks for taking the time to read! I haven’t had the best luck with soil (watering of course) and I am getting ready to start some autos in a 70/30 coco perlite (I washed and doubled buffered) mix and was planning on planting directly into 2 gallon pots, no transplant. I was hoping to get a rough idea of a watering amount/schedule from sprout until first runoff from someone who has had success doing something similar! Thank you again!

Prepare to be watering all the time.

I took care of my overwatering in soil by going to fabric pots. If I had to go back to coco, I’d keep the fabric pots…

Watering all the time is what I am looking forward to! I used fabric pots for my soil grows and still didn’t have luck

5.8-6.0 ph and need to add nutrients every watering, but overall…I love coco over soil.

sorry just let the coco tell you when to water seedlings, light brown on top and check the weight of the pot. Good thing is you can’t really overwater coco.

Should I water to runoff every time and give it a day or two to dry out or water with small amounts daily at first and gradually work up?

On seedlings, I typically measure out about 1/8 cup per solo cup. When they get about 2" tall, I water till runoff about every 2-3 days.

Sounds pretty similar to what I do with seedlings. Once they get couple sets of leaves there’s no allowing to dry out here though. Not if I can help it anyway.

Well the way i did it was i used a syringe for watering when watering the seed i would put two to three mls of water over and around the seed and when it popped i woud still only give three mls of water after a week i would make up a one ltr container of ph 5.8 of water i would mix two mls of liquid kelp fertilizer in the one ltr of water then i would feed three mls for the next week the week after that i would get a shot glass and i would use that for watering i would give one shot glass of water to the plant ,at two and half weeks i would give it Half a solo cup of water with kelp liquid mixed in

First half saturate your coco for two gallons of coco that’d be roughly a liter then dome until seedling pops through, during dome and 1st week of seedling give them 3 sprays of water ( or about 1-3 ml with a syringe) twice a day, I usually also do a half watering on day 4 and day 7 from then on you can start your daily full saturation or you can wait till day 10 or 11 if you want the roots to develop a little more before flooding them with nutes
