Ryoken's White Widow no0b initiation, frmly Yellowing edges on seedlings

cool, thanks so much for checking in…

I’m on about a twice a week watering, maybe a tad more… just did them this morn with 3 gallons of 1/2 go box nut’d at 6,6… need to up that to 4 gals… the minor runoff was 5.7, so a tad better… the plants looking pretty thriving… maybe a smidge yellow on the center of new stuff… but crankin now… hope the next week or 2 will be productive…

they seem very short for a, iirc, going on a 4th node… they seem a ways off from training, or topping… I can see topping one first…

heck… here’s a few shots from tonight… roughly 3 weeks…

it’s about 42 to 48,000 lumens…

one thing i’m curious about, that I haven’t seen anywhere, is, what’s the best time to water?

when they get up? before bed, etc…

oh, and that has been the toughest issue, other than the stoooopid PH ignorance, has been environment… humidity has been pretty steady, love that humidifier… but temps have ranged from low 60’s to high 80’s… but I am heated, AC’d now… plus a 450cfm exhaust fan coming for the hood fri… the 150 ain’t cutting it… I try to keep it from 72 to 78, but it get’s a bit less, or more, here and there… I’m hoping that levels out in week or 2…

from what I’ve read, that has big deal on node separation… And am wondering if that’s why my girls seem short…

guess i’ll do a journal later, but i thought i’d update this… been nut-ing around 6.7, 6.8, runoff is around 6.0 at this point… they seem to be cranking…

here’s about 4 weels or so… they are very short and bushy… but i’ve topped all 4 at this point, and am training 3 currently…

@Ryoken if you are going to update this one, why not rename it then? And just keep it as your grow journal. I think you can even move it to the grow journals!

The girls look great!

How is that pH meter working? Looks like you are having great growth. They look nice and healthy. I had to change meters also, I had to calibrate after every use and it was not accurate when I compared it with my friends. My new one is great and even tell when it is out of calibration.

i like it… seems very quality built… amzing the difference now… i swear they grew 2 inches yesterday… had to raise the light last night… they where getting like 68, 70,000 lumens… intake is still around 6.7, but the runoff has come up to 6.1…

they are about 5 weeks at this point… after the early issues, i think they are getting caught up now…

They are lookin’ GOOD ! Those ladies really grow well when you keep the ph constant and the nutes coming ! Keep up the good work.

PS: I love not having to mess with my pH meter. It is a quick process with a good meter and took forever with my old one.

I notice the nice hardwood floors in your closet. Next time (?) you pull everything out, I suggest you lay down more protection. I spray leaves, trim, drip water and chemicals, and occasionally spill beer while reaching into the jungle. My floors take some abuse, don’t ruin yours.

thanks… it’s just that threshold area, the main floor area under them has a plastic drum liner on it… learned that REAL fast!

I kinda rely on it big time right now… i take the grrls out for training/watering/runoff check, but than i need to put them back in the room without the runoff trays, so i fold up an old beach towel on top of the plastic to wick up any excess that comes out after the initial runoff… than i go back in like 4 to 8 hr’s later, take the now soaking towel out… couple quick paper towel wipes on the bag and it’s totally dry…

for now, it’s working…

i will NEVER underestimate the importance of that ever again… #1 thing… i saw the results immediately…

btw, I’m running the Go box nutrients, 1/2 strength…

the next biggest issue i’ve found by far is environmental control… temp swings… one extreme to the other, it’s been 60, to 90 in there… i try to keep it 73 to 80 during the day, and upper 60’s at night if possible, but that by FAR has been the most difficult task… got a nice 73 in there with just the circ fan, cool… oh, wanna start the exhaust fan and circ some fresh air in from outside… fug, my temps just dropped 11 degrees, ah tweak the heater, etc…

That’s the value of growing at this site. You learn the important things as you grow. Sometimes the lessons are hard learned and sometimes not. You are learning the a lot quickly ! That is the value of the grow journals. Keep 'er going, you are doing well !
