Roots Organic Soil

Thinking of trying the Roots Organic original soil. Anything I should know or add to this medium before I start?

I’ve only completed one grow thus far and it was with FFOF.
Thanks!

I use Roots Organic Original soil and their dry nutrient line. I add worm castings and Epsom Salts. The worm castings and Epsom Salts are not really needed. The soil drains very well. It can be used as is from the bag. I start feeding as soon as I put them in their final 10 gallon fabric pots.

Sounds good. Mind sharing how much epsom salts you add? I did just read another report of someone having a mag deficiency with Roots Organic soils.

Thanks!

I add about one cup of Epson Salt to each 10 gallon container (the soil). I also put about 0.5 cups in the 10 gallons of pH adjusted water that I use to water between four and six plants. I do this for every watering.

Thank you!

Roots organic original and Jacks 321 is magic. Epsom salt is part of Jacks list.

I was kinda hoping to stay as close to organic as I can. But I’ve heard much about Jacks 321 and I’ve not discounted it yet.
