I want to try Jack's nutrients

So I’m going to order some Jack’s nutrients. I see there is a part A A Part B and I’m going to get some unscented Epsom salt. I also seen on Amazon there is a third one I think it’s a bloom booster. Is that necessary and do I use it in the 321 mix. Also is there feeding schedule for Jax or a mixing ratio

I’ve used (Jacks) three to one since I started growing and it is so incredibly easy and hard to mess up. I don’t know anything about ocean forest soil, though I’m sure that comes with the nutrients in it I’m growing in coco and perlite.

Part A- 3.6 grams per gallon of water
Part B- 2.4 grams per
Cal mag (Epsom salt)- 1.1 grams per

No bloom booster necessary. I don’t even use epsom. I just go at 4g Part A, and 2g Part B (Calcium Nitrate). Eebay is cheap for Jacks. You can get a kit that will last for about 15-20 plants for like $33.

Ocean Forest is loaded for 4-6 weeks, so only pH adjusted water is necessary. At the 4 week mark, from planting/transplanting, start checking runoff. When you get to 1,000ppm or less, start feeding. You feed Jack’s at every watering. You can do water only here and there if you think your plants are getting a little heavy on the nute load.

FFOF is some strong stuff. I switched to happy frog after my first grow then went to coco and autos.

You just use a and b? No cal mag??

Well, I use silica because I grow coco, but that’s it. 4ml TPS Silica Gold per gallon of distilled water, then 4/2 of jacks. PH hits right at 5.91.

In soil, I use tap water and no silica, same jacks. PH hits 6.43 every dang time

Would you mind sharing a link to your silica?

The Jacks website refers to a different Part A if your tap water has greater than 50 ppm of Calcium; they recommend a 15-5-20 product for Part A, rather then the 5-12-26 product. Anyone use this schedule? Any thoughts?

The Jacks Bloom isn’t necessary but I use it the 1st 3 weeks of lower with great results, I also use jacks finish weeks 6-8ish :love_you_gesture:

I have the Blosom Booster but never used it because i read it isn’t necessary but does it help build bigger buds? Should i get a bag of Jacks Finisher also? I want the best buds i can grow.

Do not believe it to be necessary. Green gene himself who has done every modified method there is stated the traditional 321 has done the best. If anything, maybe the 4 grams part a and 2g part b be ok if not wanting to run 3 parts.

Ya I tried the Jacks Tap before, it went bad on me (clumped in a mushy mess). So I’ve been using the 321 with tap water for years, no issues. I do the recommended measurements in coco. Super easy. I do add FishSh!t, Raw silica, and Fulvic Acid. When I transplant, I add Mykos to the coco. Once you get all the steps down, it’s a breeze. Oh… I do use Bud XL during flower, it has helped fatten them up some.

The 15-5-20 is their “Tap” formula. It is an alternative to their parts A and B if your just using straight tap water. Like what @Highwayman420 said, mine also liquified. I just dumped it into a mason jar and mixed it up thoroughly. Now I check my ppm when mixing rather than measuring nutes. Someone else mentioned this on another post and was informed by the manufacturer that it was still fine to use.

Epson salt has no calcium. I think it’s magnesium sulfate
