Anyone from ILGM staff know of a source?

Grew up in the D.C. area.

Colombian Gold can be found from World of Seeds. It’s sorta like the middle eastern strains from real seed co - preserved genetics from someone who took a trip to the region and bred the seeds intentionally.

Idk how reputable, but at least I could find it. The red bud doesn’t seem to be around in its pure form unless someone has old seeds lying around.

I had about 40 seeds from 1978 but they were not viable that is why I am looking for them now.

Shoot. I bet those would have been a tremendous amount of fun. Have you tried germing them all already?

Yes that is how I knew they were not viable.

Fair enough. Wondered if it was a “tried a few and saved the rest for later tries” with little optimism kind of endeavor.

I guess saving seed in a vial in my dresser drawer was not proper storage , but what did I know back then! LOL!

Personally I think the flavor and buzz better then some of the stuff I have encountered today. The buzz was intense ( almost couch lock ). Closest weed to it I have found is White Widow and GDP as far as flavor goes. I might be remembering through a smoke hazed past but I have found nothing legal or otherwise that totally compares…wish I could find seed!

I remember.cleaned it on an album cover.:joy::sunglasses:

There is a Landrace Columbian Gold, smokes great, but a classic Red bud? Dunno.

The amounts I used to get had to be cleaned over spread out news papers, album cover just would not do it! Oh for the old days I miss them sometimes!

I remember Columbian Red Bud very well. At the time an Oz of RB was $35.00 while an Oz of Gold Au was $35.00. What I remember it was a very nice smoke.
