Ready to throw Her Away

I have 2 plants growing at the moment & both have gotten relatively the same treatment but this plant is doing horrible. The plant in the pictures is getting worse by the day. The plant feel dry to the touch and new growth is curling downwards as the tips become dark and brittle. I do have a very small spider mite infestation being treated with jacks neem oil and dead bug brew.
-100w light giving 550 ppfd at canopy
-70-75 degrees @ 60%-67% RH
-Soil PH reading 7.2
-18/6 light schedule
-hasn’t received nutes yet
-treating for pests during lights out
-Watered a day or two ago with 360ML water

What do you guys believe is keeping her from developing correctly?

Got a dome over them for humidity?

Also, if I’m not mistaken, I believe it may be a little early for watering? I usually mist the inside of a bowl or cup then put it back over.

No dome. I didn’t think I’d need one as long as I was keeping humidity high. Will put one over it. Also didn’t know I shouldn’t be watering much at this stage either so I will definitely try that

7.2 is a bit high for pH. You want it closer to 6.5 for this stage. How far away is the light and do you know what your VPD is at?

Don’t know if it’s the problem, but I used neem oil once, and it totally screwed my plant up. I’ll never use it again.

Yeah I just realized yesterday the soil was at 7.2PH. What’s a good way to lower the PH in the soil? The VPD hovers around 0.9-1.1 kPa

Forgot to add the light is 18in away from canopy

You’re still in the seedling stage for at least that plant, I try to keep below 400ppfd at this stage.

360 ml of water is quite a lot for such a small plant. You can probably get away with just misting the inside of a dome like said above. At least for another few days.

It’ll be difficult to adjust the soil pH with a small plant in there but you could try adding in some sulfur from your local garden center. I would wait for someone with a little more knowledge before jumping right to the sulfur though.

How do you measure this? The “probe” type or “3 in 1” are about as accurate as a magic-8-ball.
Spending a little for a good quality pen type Ph meter (like Apera) is a good investment.

Ordinarily I would recommend a flush with distilled or rain water to get an accurate reading but that plant is too small for that.

I believe it will be fine and will grow past this issue.
Treating such a small plant can be a challenge.

I appreciate the help and I’ll give it some time and see how it turns out. I use a Bluelab Soil PH Pen. Ran me like $160

When they are that small I use a spray bottle and mist the dirt at the base of the plant once a day or twice if it looks dry. Also mist a clear solo cup. Try not to sray the leaves. The pH is high but you can deal with that later. Leaves are dropping due to over watering.

She’s just a little funky. It’s ok, it happens. She’ll probably turn out to be killer in the end, give her a chance
