Racing against winter

Any way to speed up the flowering stage? I should have bought autoflower because Aug 18 was when this really showed flowers. Living in Canada winter can hit late September but hopefully not. How much can i fertilize and will it help?

That’s going to be a problem I’m betting. I think you’ll have to go as long as you can. I don’t think you can really speed it up with nutrients. It’ll just burn it. You’ll just have to harvest when frost arrives.

Sad thing is its my best plant. I have 2 that are where this one was Aug 18th. Can i bring them into a garage with grow lights? They dont smell at all any more.

You can definitely finish them indoors. What do you have for light?

Nothing. Would have to purchase something. Its a shame because tjis all started back in April it just takeing so long. I got 4 plants last year that all produced by the middle of September i had them all harvested. They were amazing and with thick with tricomes. We gave ip camping to look after these as it was so hot and sunny we couldnt leave them. Pretty frustrated.

It’s always frustrating when things don’t go to plan. I’m sorry for that.

How big are they and how many do you have? Being honest with you… quality lighting is costly.

Also care needs to be taken to prevent bugs. A treatment plan should be in place.

If you can move indoors (especially my brother from another mother whos up in Canada and I’m in NY), i would suggest it.

It depends on your budgets, but growing indoor can be easy to control, less environmental problems, and you can grow year round :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

We’d need to know your growing space and other factors as well

I grow tent, 600watt light and a heater

Well i have very limited space in my garage. I coukd bring them inside at night in case of freeze and outside when it warms up but if we get early snow that wont help. It would be 4 3 to 4 feet tall plants.

Is there a chance you could have a tent in your house?

Like a footprint of maybe 4x4 or 5x5 space somewhere?

Hard to control environmental stuff in a garage with temps and humidity etc

I have the same problem, but mine aren’t as far along as yours! I’m outside Vancouver, yeah, hoping they make it to October before the torrential rains start. I just bought a new light for my indoor ladies, if you are near me you could use the older light to finish in door.
If you do put them in your garage, get some styrofoam to put under them. Last fall/winter, it took forever for my Death Bubbas to finish, mainly because the roots were too cold! Too cold to walk on, too cold for plants to sit on it. I now have 2" of foam under my tent floor.
When I grew on my patio when I lived in North Van, they were under a glass awning, so they didn’t get soaked, but I had to turn a heater on outside just so they wouldn’t freeze! Temps would get down to 3C (about 37F), fun and games!

Thanks for the input. Hopefully winter stays away till November

We’ll keep it fingers crossed for you. But yes, even moving them into the garage on the coolest days could help you get through flower.

If its a dominant indica, it may finish up early when licked by the cold air, come beginning October. Be brave
