Not flowering gettin nervous

Started them in early April and seemed very slow to develop. I live in Western Canada so my season ends mid October i am thinking. This is my second grow. Last year i got clones that were already pretty big and planted them outside in early June. By this time last year they were all in flower. This year stated from seed but June was very cold and wet so they didnt go outside till near the end of June. Were finally getting some hot sunny weather and the plants are all loving it. Only 1 is showing any sign of flowering.

Should be soon. I’m thinking daylight needs to start getting below 13 hours a day.

It may be strain dependent more than it is maturity dependent. Some plants are more critical of light schedule than others, it’s just Mother Nature laughing at us. :joy:

Anyway, agreed 100% with @Dexterado - once they get 11-13 hours of uninterrupted darkness, you’ll very likely see flowering kick it into high gear. I can’t remember if it’s Indica or sativa who prefers longer dark cycles, but that may be what you’re seeing.

Healthy looking ladies! Happy growing. It’s only August 1, you got plenty of time to see flowering through before bad weather hits :crossed_fingers:

Well i am noticing the days are getting shorter faster. I get up early and noticing we have lost at least 1 hour in the morning already.

I bet you’ll see pistils any day. Providing they’re female.

Patience is NOT a pot growing virtue, it’s a REQUIREMENT.

Lost in the Sixties…If I knew where I was, I’d know where to go. :peace_symbol:

A Fred Flintstone size BBQ rib bone or 2 for anyone with a solution

Might I suggest taking them inside and running a 12/12 light cycle. Pretty sure that would do it.

Unless they are auto’s.

There are actually 4 different seeds but i dont know which are which. All were feminized autoflower i am pretty sure.

There are actually 4 different seeds but i dont know which are which. All were feminized but not autoflower. I had a real hard time getting the seeds started and some of the seeds failed right away. I think i bit off more than i coukd chew with this crop. I need to research which brand is more suited. Last year my plants were all in flower by now.

Do you have somewhere outside that gets more shade? I’d try to put them wherever there’s the least amount of light. East-facing walls are usually good.

A guy recommended covering them every evening a couple hours before dark so i may try that. Although its a pita. I cant bring them in the house because there pretty skunky smelling and my wife wouldnt allow it

Yeah, I’d find somewhere that only gets morning sun. That’s the best thing I can think of unless you’ve got a nice shade tree or something out in your yard. Everything else I can think of would be a PITA.

Thanks for caring. Right now they only get sun till mid afternoon so i think i am going to have to try the tarp route. According to the literature on some of these plants mid October is harvest time. Thats cutting it a bit too close for where i live since it can snow in September.
