Question on seeds

Hi i was wondering how long can you store cannabis seeds. Here in il i can grow 5 plants. Abut wanted to do 5 different strains next grow… and it seems cheaper to order 3 seeds per strain… but that will give me seeds for the next 4 grows lol

Seeds will remain viable for years if stored properly in a cool, dark, dry place.

I’ve kept mine in original bags, in original shipping envelopes, in a box, in a cabinet. Some for over 3 years still popping.

I keep mine in dresser drawer in mason jar works well for me for years

I just keep mine in a drawer of a cabinet in my grow room. Of all my grows, I’ve only had maybe 2 seeds fail to germinate. I have seeds that are more than 4 years old pop just fine.

My only input is that after a little time they germ a tad slower. So instead of like 3 days, it’s more like 5 or 6.

I keep them in the gun safe!

I stored them in sealed bags in a dark drawer and now keep them in the fridge. Both work, just keep them dry, sealed and dark.

I include a dessicant packet in the light-tight jar I keep in the refrigerator.
