I am a new grower and just found this site. It has been really helpful. My question is I am growing what I think is AK, not sure my friend handed me a bunch of seeds, and I am on 10 days and need to know if I need to give them nutrients? They are in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and I give them distilled water. And the pH for the soil is at like 7. So what kinds of schedule for nutrients do I need if any?

Anyway…you shouldn’t be feeding them at all.
They have their own food supply.
You wait till they have 5 true sets of leaves…OK

Cool thanks for the info. Just read them. And no I’m not feeding them. Not yet. I had one more question. I am going to transplant them. Can I continue to use the same soil and if so do I still need to feed then if the soil pH level is at 7? And thanks again I downloaded the Grow Bible.

And you need to get ph down to 5.5 to 6.5 max but id say 6.0 at there age run 5.0 ph distilled thur then check runoff it will take time to fix them then keep an eye on it 7.0 ph to high but they do look good

Fox farms soil is the best yes get a 3 to 5 gallon pot black plastic or fabric smart pot i start my plants in same pot they finsh in for auto flowers for photos i give them about 10 days then to the big pot make sure to run ph water thur new soil check runoff always keep soil between 5.5 to 6.5 if you work your ph youll find that to get it down youll need low ph in to get the right runoff ive used 4.3ph to get 5.5 before ocean forest is kind of powerful so you will not need anything but ph water for weeks after transplanting if the round first leaves turn yellow its time to feed
Start slow see how they do 1/4 streath at first for two weeks …water water feed works good 3 day between each or i do water feed water feed up to you …what nutrients you plan on using

Humidity, everything your girls will thank you for sure and youll thank you when you smoke some kill you grew youself plus if something gos wrong you can track the problem

Your best but depending if you want to go by nutrients if they are autos get some 3 gallon smart pots fill them up with the Fox Farm ocean and just water them pH no higher than seven I do mind around 5.5 to 6.5 and I also use distilled water I’m doing some plants with nutrients some without so far the one that is getting nutrients is not as big as the one that is just getting watered every two or three days but anybody on this site will be more than happy to help you and everyone has a different opinion just letting you know what I’m doing good luck to you my friend

A walkin closet you have ventilation
Because HID lights put off lots of heat
I have a 400 watt mh/hps setup i dont use any longer because of heat issues id say this figure out square footage
40 watts per square foot you could get two and grow 2 to 4 plants
2 really kickass plants

@JDSMOKE you should check out leds you will have no heat if so very little and I bought the 69$ cheap meizhi leds 300 watt pats week or 2 they came out with a new line for 2016 you won’t be disappointed this is what I’ve done with two of the 300s start to finish.
. But like I said everyone is different and everyone will tell you a different answer do what makes you happy
