First grow was 2.75 pounds in a 5x5 with growers choice ROI-720 .
2nd grow was allot less yeilds but much higher quality and did my first outside grow on same topic .
Now I’ve expanded from a 5x5 and Into 2 actually grow rooms .
I just dropped 5 blueberry muffin, 5 blueberry pancake, 5 blueberry cupcake all photoperiod ( hombolt ) . Along with 2 photoperiod slurriking ( inhouse) ,3 photoperiod og kush ( seedsman) , and 2 purple lemonade auto ( Blimburn ) .
Last time I used the float tech method for germination and it worked well but this time I added a teaspoon of 3 percent food grade h202 per cup for germ water and it worked to good for the most part . I should of checked on second day cause they was so long today on day 3 that a couple completely grew out of shells and sprouting already . Anyway without further urdo … Here’s a kick off to what is going to be a crazy busy run for me .
The second room is holding my outside plants over winter . Consist of mainly pineapple plants , organic lemon seedlings , and peach tree that was all grown from store bought fruit and then the brussel sprout plant and green onion was purchased seed packet . Anyway those will be pushed to the side to give priority to the 2 autos and I assume about 5-7 plants that probably will outcrowd the main cannabis room in late veg/early flower .
Also I’m contemplating on selling the smaller lights in that room ( flexstar 480 , 509 watt something , and 400 watt hps ) to spurge on some big boy lights .
I’m drooling over those new mammoth 8 bar 880 watts with new Evo diodes. Beast beast beast and only 800 each on sale . 3 + efficacy, 7x7 veg and 6x6 flower . Move over to my growers choice roi-720s, hlg Scorpion diablo who? And gavita why? Pfft! Yeah I’m approved for payments but I’m pretty stretched already . Still contemplating. It may happen in next month or so .
Still gotta get a little more panda film for the floors and a couple other things before complete but I have time .

Now speaking of lights .
I checked out all the 800-1000 watt lights from about 30 of top known brands . As far as uniformity , efficacy , power/watts , larger footprint and quality combined is concerned the new mammoth 8 bar , 880 watt with Samsung’s new mint white Evo diodes and green plantcintric diodes reigns superior. Move over my growers choice ROI-720s , gavita what ? Scorpion diablo who ? . It even blows out the expensive 1500-1800 dollar lights . I mean they’re all still respectfully nice lights but their price is for special features like radar Doppler and adjustable spectrum but as far as anything else is concerned they don’t compare . The only real worthy of being comparable was the new ac infinity Evo 10 1,000 watt .
So I pulled the trigger and got 2 of them on preorder . Should be shipped late Dec early Jan .
Then I stumbled on something new that is a complete game changer . Neat as hell device .
It’s called the growcast . It does everything a master controller does. Control on,/off times , sunrise sunset , wattage , but what master controllers don’t do is you can program light to what ppfd you want on canopy , and check it out all from convenance of your phone . Also 150 is half the price of most master controllers. It is universal to both iOS and Android as well as just about any light . I had to snag it . Anyway y’all should check it out . Erik over at ledgrowlightdepot.com did a little YouTube review on it .
@Fieldofdreams hey dude, so I know we talked about this before, I know you didn’t have any problem with it and see it the way i do . An opportunity for people to share their crafts , get , and or give advice . But as people and things change and the fact that someone brought this topic up. . Id like to revisit this .
In short your more than welcome to come here to check my grow out , give or ask advice , or share your the grow your proud of !! Just the same as @Mosca and others I started with or anyone else for that matter ! . If it benefits you to post here and get opinions and or help or just proud of the job you did , them please by all means feel free to post away ! I just got it assembled last night . Though I’m kinda a little disappointed and need to reach out to them about it . After assembling it I read that your not supposed to run it for more than like 15-30 minutes every 2 hours . Yet the controller is called " aerobrewer " it controls the power of mixer and temperature . That would make one think that it brews your teas overnight and shuts it off when the temps get to your setting right ? Being I’m organic grower and use roots organics terp teas your supposed to brew for about 24 hours . So it kinda defeats the purpose of what I got it for if I can only run it 15-30 minutes every 2 hours . Then why doesn’t the controller also have a timer on it as well ? Then in order to use as a pump to water your plants through the hose and wand you have to swap out pieces and use another pump to keep things mixing . I don’t know , might send back . I’m going to reach out to them now and see what they say .
They got back to me on my inquiry with the response I was hoping for . Obviously running any type of machinery gets hot and that was just a basic recommendation to keep your temperature from getting to hot . But they said I can run it as short or as long as I want to . Being that I have the brewer controller I can run it at a lower speed and it will shut off when reaching the set temp .
Now here’s my plan with it , just keep it at a low speed and let it run . For me this ought to work pretty well cause I have a back room that I store my tools and stuff that I refer to as the cold room . It’s not insulated or something and it’s practically almost as cold as it is outside . So I should at least in theory be able to run this nonstop on low speed and still keep it from reaching to hot of temperature without having to buy an expensive chiller .
I took a couple pictures to give you an idea of it’s power . This is 15 gallons . First picture is on speed “beast” ( it’s actually called that on controller ) . It’s whipping the shat outta the water .
I’ve been running it for about a half hour and it’s only went up from 53 to 56 fahrenheit and that’s inside my kitchen . ( Controlled 70 degrees ) .
So yeah I don’t think I’ll have any problems keeping it flowing even at higher speed in cold room .
Obviously I can’t make a real review untill I actually start using it . But my thoughts so far is yes it’s going to work well . Will be a couple months before I get good brewing use out of it . Plus I have the watering wand that I can connect a hose and pump directly to my plants from reservoir. But I’m the meantime will be handy in mixing light microbe and silica teas . Or just keep my water really oxygenated .
Thanks about the room . Yeah I finally got around to actually getting the lights moved around . Got the one roi-720 on the far wall . Then the other roi-720 will go in the middle when plants outgrow the 5x5 . I was able to squeeze the 500 watt light right as I walk in … After doing so I realized that I won’t be able to fit my fruit plants to the side of the room . But that’s ok . Cause I can cram em all in the 5x5 and put the 480 watt flexstar in to keep them more than fine till summer . .
Sorry for such long updates but it’s kinda difficult trying to manage all this stuff . It’s like work work work and have about 10 minutes to squeeze in and blast everything in real quick . Hopefully I’ll be able to balance out before long .
During all this commotion I forgot to open the little vents on top of my humidity dome . So I’m ditching what I had in there and starting from scratch . I have a few gorilla glue #4 autos ( someone gave me like 20 of those , ilgm if I’m not mistaking ) in tent along with a couple girl scout cookies x mango sherbet ( hombolt phenohunter, is the little frosty purple bud picture I’ll include, then gelato 41 , and a couple cheetah fat ( atlas ) . But I’m not really to much into that either … If they make it fine and who cares if they dont .
But I since got some “supposed” to be top grade genetics . Expensive little f-ers ! A 3 pack of wingsuit from compound genetics was 100 bucks . Luckily I got a couple Xtra in that pack . This Friday I should get my solefire genetics . Got a strain called " lung buster " and " terpgasm" from them . They was like 60 for a 3 pack . We are going to find out if these genetics are really that much better and worth the extra money ! So anyway those will be going in the smaller 6x11 room with the 2 new mammoth 8 bar. .
Then I have a 6 pack of snow g and a 6 pack of hindsight ( twenty20 Mendocino) . They’ve been an excellent genetics and I’ve used them every grow so far with great results ! But them and a 3 pack of kings juice( greenhouse genetics ) will go in the room where the fruit plants are now for the time being . Along with whatever if any make it from what I’m kinda neglecting a bit in tent now . I’ll probably also drop a few others to squeeze in to . Just haven’t decided exactly what yet . Thinking maybe the gas guzzler , udder madness , or giggle gas from solefire ?
