Hello all. First time grower/poster. I have a 4x5 tent with 6 plants in it. I have 4 different strains: Sour D, Straw cough, a Jack Herer, and AC Gold. All has been going well until this morning when I saw some discoloration on my leaves. They are about a week away from starting to flush.
Are my babies ok or do I need to take drastic measure before shit goes sideways?
@Dcarp. Welcome to the neighborhood.
Lots of strains will show purpling in the leaves closer to harvest.
Is it only one strain showing the colouring ? Or all of them.
That being said it prob wouldn’t hurt to know what the runoff numbers are to know where things are.
And too. How are your night temps. That can change them too.
Here they are in natural light. They are all having some purpl-ing so it’s not strain specific. Here are the low Temps/humidity from last night. Looks like I need to start turning off dehumidifier at night?
That 55 deg is a bit cool for them but explains the colouring.
I wouldn’t worry about it.
Try to get the temp up around 60-62 at night and it will make the trics pop and help bring the terps out too.
Just as long as there is no nutrient lockout I am good.
Also, should I turn down my lights? I have double ended hps running at 1000w. Maybe I should start slowly taking them down (as it would be happening if they were growing naturally outdoor?)
Thank you so much for the kind words. One more question that maybe someone can help me with.
I was planning on using my tent to do my drying, but my strings have different flowering times (Acapulco gold 10-11weeks vs sour Diesel 9ish weeks)
Am I seriously damaging the crop if I harvest all at the same time or should I harvest sour d first and let my other strains keep growing while I dry in a closet (which I really don’t want to do because of the smell).
Maybe check the Trichomes with a loupe or scope and see where they are at. As long as you don’t pull it to early you should be good to harvest both. Also depends on the high you are looking for. Hopefully this helps.
Must be the time of year for this. I am seeing it too on an outdoor grow. Came down to probable phosphorus deficiency ,early. Then I checked temperature and I saw I had two nights of 57° right before it started.
Congrats. The purple makes them look kinda cool anyways. Nice looking grow welcome to the forum. We have some HIGHly intelligent people here to bring u what u are looking for.
