Psilocybin Adventures

I stand corrected. I remember this to be the case for these 3 states now that you mention it.

They just embedded it into my dome visiting their site :joy:
Like I said, don’t live in one of those states but damnit I know the ain’t studying like us :green_heart::metal:t2:

I think it’s crazy how I’m seeing LC syringes being sold and shipped :upside_down_face::shushing_face::cowboy_hat_face::sunglasses::+1:t2:
I’ve shipped my own out but never bought an LC commercially.

Four of 10 jars are not yet fully colonized. It will be several days to another week before I transfer to bulk. No grain jar and no LC jar have contamination.

I definitely like the simplicity of covering lid holes with micropore tape rather than the PITA lids with air ports, injection ports, and RTV. Micropore tape does a sufficient job of keeping out contaminants and allowing air exchange.

If you are using psilocybin macrodoses for therapy of some kind (e.g. depression,) then set, setting, and intention are all extremely important for a productive journey. A trip sitter can be an important part of the experience. I found this to be a good article:

Cool article, takes a special person to do that :+1:t2::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
And remember always keep a can of soda and a candy bar around to help bring someone back fast :green_heart::metal:t2::sunglasses::cowboy_hat_face:

My buddy had me look at his pins and wants to know if everything looks normal so far. This is within the first few hours of them starting to pop up.

I would remove the bag if the cake is pinning and putting out shrooms. The bottom pic doesn’t look fully colonized.

Thank you sir! I appreciate you.

One of my liquid culture jars is contaminated. The solution looks like urine.

Bummer! Hate to see that for ya…

so those jars are full colonized now with mycelium and two of them are starting to pin with no casing layer. I looked online and they are saying once they start to pin not to do any bulk or casing layer?

what I thought was contamination I think was actually just the red seal on the bottom of my lids falling off. I threw the jars in my closet and forgot about them and now they are fully colonized and pinning. not sure what to do? @MidwestGuy and anybody else with knowledge would be appreciated. I have one jar fully colonized not pinning Im going to send it to bulk today.

I’ve never done a casing layer. If the jar is pinning I would de-jar the cake and put it in fruiting conditions.

so carry on as i would if i were to send it to bulk?

the small jar is not pinning the two big jars are

I’ve honestly not ever dealt with substantial early pinning. If it isn’t too bad you might be able to just pick off the pins and transfer to bulk anyway. It’s probably what I would try.

Make sure that airflow is limited during colonization to prevent pinning. Pinning is caused by a combination of evaporation of liquid from the cake and also from exposure to oxygen. Limiting airflow will mitigate both of those conditions.

Good job with the colonization. The jars are definitely well-colonized.

Thank you! Ok that’s what I’m going to try. Could it be from light exposure? After I thought they were goners , I left them to light exposure these last couple weeks turning my closet light on off?

Light exposure makes no difference.

Once the substrate is fully colonized and then consolidated there is no more “food” for the myc. So it will try to start furiting regardless of environmental conditions ( to a point) for a last ditch survival,ie, Fruiting and sporing :metal:t2::green_heart:
