Give it some more time it’s looking fine. What’s your temperature you keep the bag in? When colonizing I try and keep my temps around 75 - 78° it seems to work out better but when fruiting conditions come around I dial the temperature down to 73-74° are you keeping that bag in the dark?

I’ve got some jars colonizing at 72F and they are doing fine.

I like to put a seedling mat below my tubs to keep the temps up. They seem to colonize faster. I put a towel folded over a few times between the mat and the tub so it doesn’t get too hot.

What strain is that?

It’s b+ from a LC I made about 3 months ago that is really healthy and aggressive

It was blue about 10 minutes ago now it appears almost black and weighed in at just over an ounce

My current grow is B+. It’s been the most productive of the strains I’ve grown.

I’m doing the same with a seedling mat it’s working out really well I have it on the floor of my martha tent on the first shelf and my jars are in boxes so I don’t have to run a buffer between the two. How are your jars coming along from your last order you must be seeing some good growth by now

I just checked on them and they are making good progress. Probably have 4 to 5 weeks before I put them to a bulk substrate.

Are you doing any agar work, liquid culture or cloning?

I’ve done agar and liquid culture.

I like growing out liquid culture in half-pint jars and pouring them on my bulk spawns. It helps colonize your bulk really quickly.

Nice out of the six different varieties I got the corumba Brazil strain is on fire followed by the mazatapec mexico all of the aa+, ape, and purple mystics are colonizing but slower than the others

I agree liquid culture is absolutely the way to go! Keeping sterile practice in place any one can pull it off and it brings this hobby the a whole new level wouldn’t you agree?

Yeah. I’m really strict about being sterile. I only handle stuff immediately after a shower, use a lot of iso alcohol, use a still air box, and so on.

I’ve had my share of contaminated spawns along the way.

Sorry heat mat on the floor and boxes on the first shelf not to be confusing

Yep, it’s in the dark, in the original box it came in…
It’s about room temperature of 70-72°…
@MidwestGuy did you see my picture as well? It’s slow progress, but it’s progress…

It might be. Keep an eye on it for a week and see if the colonization progresses.

It’s been 2 months, another week won’t kill me. :joy:

It may be colonizing from the inside out depending on where you injected spores. Grain bags can take a while. I’ve never seen bags go as long as yours, but you never know. There’s hope now.

Two months huh? Quick question how many CC’s did you inject the bag with?
