Help! I’ve got a Gelato feminized plant, first grow!, that was started in mid-July, and grown without added nutes, outdoors in amended potting soil. I started feeding her with special bloom nutes on Sept 9, 19, and 29. She’s over 6’ tall, and has been flowering for about five-six weeks.
My plan was to split the stem about 4-5 days before harvesting. Right now, though, the buds still seem slim and anemic, compared to most of the fat buds I see in here. Yet, most of the trichomes are milky, though some are still clear. The pistils are pretty much all white. I would have thought, based on the condition of the trichomes, it was time to split that stem, but the appearance of the buds look as though I wish they would/could still fatten for a couple of weeks. I’ll be watching closely for amber. What’s the best time to harvest? To stress?
