Thanks @Randy_Marsh xx

Get yourself a Magnifying Loop, and then you can look at the tricombs. When it’s ready is when 75% of the little bulbs on the end of those globules are red/orange. They start out clear, then cloudy and the. Red/orange. You want the red colour and the rest to be cloudy… that’s the shit that gets you high :raised_hands:t2:

Whatvstrain is it. Most plants u look at 8 to 16 weeks in flower depending on the strain sativa strains go alot longer than an indica strain. A week into flower id say atleast 6 to 8 weeks left maybe a touch less if u want full potential buds

Yeah you do want to wait for that extra weight she’s gonna put on

@Mark0427 @Luna thanks for that. This plant is about 6 weeks into flowering but has always been ahead in flowering from other plants.
All i know is it is some Stavia strain, origin found behind a chest of drawers :joy:, name unknown
Are you talking about the pistils going orange/red or the trich??

Pistil will all turn orangish or another color from white like when ghey first show. After they change color they start to no quite show as much because if the calyxs swelling up the pistil kinda recedes back in it seems but calyx swells around it basically. Pulling it early will suck. U still have plent of time get a jewellers loupe or a usb microscope. U can see the trics changing from clear to milky to amber depending on the high u want.

If it’s been in flower for 6 weeks, it’s got another month left, and a bit longer depending on the high you wish to achieve. Red/orange tricombs are for a body high… it turns yellow at harvesting time

@Lethal Gorgeous looking plant (big). I’d say with a plant that size and buds the size that you’re looking at (not that big) you’ve got quite a bit of time left.

To grow a plant that size in that healthy you’ve clearly done something right. There’s every reason to think that your buds will swell up commensurately with the size of that plant but definitely not for a few more weeks. If that were my plant I wouldn’t even bother checking trichomes for another month.

Just by way of comparison I am at slightly north of 45° North latitude and typically do not harvest earlier than October 20, one month after the equinox. Of course it all depends on the strain and Mother Nature

Lol! Thanks😇 my harvest was fantastic… I’ve never smelt such a strong smell as when I cut down my blueberry plant… I ordered from a site called The seedmen, the have a variety of seeds, and after spending x amount they give you free feminized seeds of their own brand. Now this wasn’t as tightly packed as the other strains I had… but the smell made my nose almost burn, and made my nose run… the smell was skunky blueberry lemonycake pinesol smell… very potent.

They were a bit leafy… but I flushed it so well and added flaw melas finish afterwards I didn’t end up cutting all the leaves I cut them in half or but more… I felt like I was wasting it. And the honey oil I got was bonkers… the amount of yellow dusted tch that came off while trimming. (I dry trim, I dry with the sugar leaves on, and take off the fan leaves) then trim the sugar leaves as I bottle.,

Thanks heaps for your advise… The correct harvest time is a complete unknown territory for me so all your advise is very greatly appreciated.
Being outdoors, it is going to be interesting as I have plants ranging from only just making buds to nice swollen ones, all in a space if about 6 feet apart… Gotta love Mother Nature :relaxed: :relaxed:
Will revisit and ask for more advise in a few weeks… Starting to get excited

Lol :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
It was a free seed that THE SEEDSMEN gave me. After you purchase so much, I bought THE NEW(Humbolt), DO SI DO 33(Barney’s farm) GREEN GELATO (Royal Queen seeds) they have multiple company’s all sold on their site… they give you free feminized seeds from their own collection. I am unsure if you can purchase it on its own… probably can… it was just called BLUEBERRY :blueberries:. Lol I don’t know if that helps any. I am gonna grow it again, but going to defoliate a lot more… the smell was crazy…so sticky and just wild… the buds would have been tighter if I defoliated it
