How many weeks 'till harvest?

Hi guys, take a look at the pics & let me know what you think. The pistils/buds are really dark, almost purple but trichomes are still crystal clear, no amber, hard to tell from the pics but i do have a good magnifier.
Sprouted April 11th, WHEW!
We’ve had temps down to 38 here in Mpls this week. They’re tough, they’ve battled torrential rain, 25 to 40 mph wind gusts & 116 degree heat index this summer
How long to harvest do you  think?
Thanks growers!

Hard to tell from the pics Growmie. Do you have a mag glass or jewelers loop to check the trichomes…only way to be sure :love_you_gesture:

Im moving my (potted) plants into the garage to finished them off. Im in Mpls & we’re having huge storms (rain NOT snow), potentially 2 - 4 inches of rain & 25 - 40 mph winds for 2.5 days.
Besides potential crop damage, its getting into the 30s at night
With another 3 - 5 weeks to go i feel its prudent. In fact im thinking of taking it a step further & covering them up (inside the garage) to give them ‘more dark’ & hasten the ripening process
Anybody ever do this or hear of it beoing done?
Thoughts?
Thanks growers!

Good morning! Be careful covering them, you could cause mold and bud rot. Be sure to keep air moving. Wet weather can be harmful. JMHO :slightly_smiling_face: :v:

Yes nice buds!! :+1:…Sometimes without the use of some kind of magnifier its hard to really get a good look at the Trichs…I looked at some of mine today and with the naked eye they looked milky but only when I got a magnifier did I see more amber… Great Job…

Hey Al Green, your 50 year old song ‘You Ought To Be With Me’ still gives me the shivers. Great job with that Al. Or should i say Reverend Al? :upside_down_face:

I have looked at them with a good, lighted, magnifier (60x) & my trics are crystal clear, with no amber yet
I think the girls are toying with me…

I’m in MN too and thinking about doing an outdoor grow next summer. Got too late of a start this year so stuck with indoor. Your ladies are looking great. Just curious how the outdoor grow went for you with the summer we had??? What did you use for soil and nutes??? Any issues with the elements and what did you do to combat them??? Sorry for all the questions. Just love seeing a solid outdoor grow in the great white north. Great job my friend!!! Hopefully the harvest is a great one!!!

They sprouted the 2nd wk of April, planted seedlings in pots & put outside the 3rd wk of May do to our ‘early’ spring. I used feminized seeds & just used regular potting soil & liquid (emulsified) fish fertilizer. I applied it until the end if July. Very happy with the results so far but they sure are taking their time. Have pulled them in the garage due to plunging temps & to protect from the elements like the raging coast to coast storm we just had. The buds seemed developed well enough but the trics are still crystal clear with no amber for about the last 6 weeks
With outdoor growing you have to be aware of the usual hazards like wind, rain, high/low temps, crriters, insects etc. The plants are generally resilient, it’s called weed because it just grows just about anywhere where plants grow. If you know gardening (I dont) then you know plants, you’re gold

Super cool!!! I’ll definitely try an outdoor next year and see how it goes. Good luck on the harvest!!! Hopefully those trichs start turning here for ya soon!!! That’s really weird they have been stuck for so long. I wonder what’s causing that???

I’m in the same boat. Looks like a couple of mines are about ready for harvest. Could you old timers give a newbie an experienced opinion?

Another pic of a small green crack auto. Same grow as above. I swear that this looks almost ready. Should I wait another week or two?
