Plants have very few hairs

My plants seem to be ready to harvest by looking at the trichomes but the flowers have very few hairs on them. The ones that are on there are brown. Has anyone seen this before?

Can you post a few pics? What color are your trichomes? That will be your deciding factor on harvest. Hairs may be darkened because it’s near the end.

The trichomes are cloudy and milky white.

Welcome to the community ! I have seen the makeup of the bud structure vary to me it’s all in the genetics.

If it was me, I’d wait until those triches are more amber.

It’s blue dream. I’ve grown it before but I’m a little suspect if the seeds. It doesn’t look like the blue dream I got before. My fault buying cheaper seeds.

The problem I have with amber trichomes is the effect will be more sedative. It’s supposed to be blue dream, according to the seller. I could wait until a small percentage is amber, maybe 20%.

If you are aiming for a specific high you could chop. Its personal preference really. But, if I’m not mistaken, and someone please correct me if I’m wrong, the plant will have its highest potency when mostly amber. At some point shortly past that your THC will start to degrade. I don’t think that chopping now would not get you high, I just dont know if it would be the best the plant has to offer. A closer look at the trichomes would help also, I’m not sure if you have a loupe or microscope you can get pictures through, but that would help alot. Either way, trust your gut. It’s your plant after all. You brought it this far, you know it better than anyone, it’s all up to you in the end. I’m sure some more experienced growers will shout out to you with their opinion shortly, for some more consideration.

Point taken…thanks

The plant will have the highest concentration of thc when all the trics are cloudy with approx 10-15 % amber.

When the trics have ambered then they are starting to degrade. Converting to cbn.
Sleepy time weed.

They will change colors. How far along are they? How many weeks in flowering stage?
