Plants are too tall

Maybe, or it was ‘lovingly’ grown in bulk and achieved ‘acceptable’ potency before being distributed  Which means yours will be way better.

Super cropping would have definitely helped

When done properly you can train your plant to look like a candle opera

But needs to be do earlier in flower and veg
You can try yo tie the main cola ober just be gentle when bending her go slow so you dont snap the main stem
With limited hieght you may want to flower earlier as well
Start flowering when your plant is half the max size you can have at harvest so if 48inches is your max flower when you plant reaches 24 inches

Very Nice !

Bending, you have to start bending them. Trick is LST when they are young. I made many mistakes and had stretching problems before.5474377120aa6a07fd84bd63add8de0bbea0e110_1_690x387

Learn about super cropping, Great for limited spaces. You control the plant.dcdf6a2f2e17c4d8f5faa51d91bb80833098688a_1_403x500

What is the latest in flower you should supercrop? I did it once just after the pistils popped on a bag-seed (wanted to make sure sex before stressing and determining the sex by my actions  ) and it worked well. Not sure how far after that you can go.

It is very tricky I had to practice a lot on bag seeds would low potency so I wouldn’t worry about killing the plant. You can break the branches anytime. I would not do it after you are showing signs of flower that is too late. Couple weeks before you switch is good. You can snap them and let them hang and they will curve back up on their own but I like to tie them down so they are running horizontal. I am amazed at what you can do to this plant and how fast it recovers. I’ll probably be posting some pics of my chronic Widow that I destroyed, actually those are the pictures of it a few days ago and now patience prevails. I am not sure but by breaking that stem and it forming a knuckle increases potency. I have not gotten into that so deep on the scientific data yet but I am still researching I am putting in about 6 hours a day on this I don’t know on past experience from other people if that’s too much time to spend on it? But I am retired and it is giving me a lot to do. Most of my friends went back to work because they could not handle retirement. I should have told them about growing herbs.

What I’m saying is that I did it once, almost 2 weeks after flipping (slow bagseed), when the first signs of female showed up. It didn’t hurt, and I got about 2oz out of a bagseed. So I guess I was wondering if anyone had done it later than that.

Ive done it as late as 3rd week in flower they dont care for it once they harden off but can still take it
You need to be careful if super cropping in flower so i don’t recommend it really fir a beginner id try to pull it over in this case
With that said training should be done in veg and the first couple weeks of flower during the transition period
I top my plants once then super crop them and flower when half the size of my total hieght
Heres a link folks to super cropping

Thanks, and when I did it I went for the lowest ‘greenish’ space where it still looked pliable. I was talked through it by someone on here at the time.

I just wasn’t sure how far past that you could go without risking killing the stem or hermie-ing the plant.

As with any high stress technique there is risk of a hermi situation
So best to finish training durning the streach
As you get more comfortable with the technique you can play with it later in flower @Whodat66
Its a great technique once mastered

Thanks again. I think it was simple enough once you got the feel of it (which was about the second branch on the plant) And I’m not looking to do crazy experiments! :man_scientist:

As with temps, humidity, etc. I like to know the danger zones to stay away from. In that instance, the day I saw the pistils on the stems (not flowers) I bent them. So that is probably my ‘danger zone’ now

Its definitely not hard to do
And I understand glad i could help
:v:

I grew a NL clone my first grow. Flipped to 12/12 when it was 21" from the soil. It stretched to 44" at the end. Totally natural, no LST at all. So I think your plans on height may be unreasonable. In my 8’ chamber, it stopped just at the maximum light height.

So plan for it. Even with LST or a SCROG, it is going to stretch after the flip. Last grow I filled a SCROG net and then flipped: Too late! All the side branches that grew up from the net stretched like crazy and I had to tie them down or they would have hit the lights. The moral is: Flip to 12/12 early unless you are outside and can grow trees.
