Planting seeds after 48 hours of germination

Should the soil be moist during the initial planting of the seeds once the tail has pushed through?

Use very little water. Maybe a few ml of water until she pokes through the soil. Seedlings only need a couple ml of water per day. A better approach is to not water at all and place a humidity dome over the seedling (a clear Sole cup or a cut pop bottle works fine.) The mist inside the dome a few times a day. The seedling can get all of the water it needs via the humidity in the dome. Then begin watering sparingly when the seedling outgrows the dome.

Too much water can cause problems with root health.

I was typing a similar response when I saw your post @MidwestGuy . Didnt want to be redundant. Do as he said.

Thank you. So the soil should be dry?

If the soil is totally dry it will dry out the root. I think it needs to be moist.

I do damp not soaked. Then a dome or not depending on the sprout.

I think it’s best to wet your soil good before planting then small amounts of water after happy growing
