Planting depth of seedlings

Hi. I’ve got a couple auto seedlings outside in pots. I plan on putting them in the ground this week. They are still a little leggy and i was wondering if I could plant them a little deeper in the soil. Didn’t know if this would hurt them. Thanks for any help you may have.

That’s what I do to leggy seedings… I just build up the soil around the base of the stem.

I built up the soil around my seedling stems on all 6 of my autos and other all did fine with it. I added about 1/2” of soil to each one

Yes, they’re like tomatoes. The will root from the stems if you bury them. I always bury the stems a little deeper when I transplant.
