Monkman-
I was following the advice of our light guru @dbrn32. He had a little concern using the 135 rspec that early. He said the T5 would be a good light for seedlings or clones. But you and I know that there is always more ways to go about growing marijuana. It seems to work well, or did the last time. Too early to tell this time. Thanks for chiming in, your advice is noted sir. Peace…

Thanks for the tag,I’m set to watch
:slightly_smiling_face:
Have you taken a look at build a soils craft blend? I use it with my top dressing, it’s a nice mix of good stuff.
I’m curious, is there a reason you have no worm poop in your mix?

You could use 135 all the way through, just dim or raise accordingly. The fluoro is just a lot more forgiving earl in grow.

Hey scylents-
I did a little shuffling of amendments last time, using what I had, and I think I missed the balance. This time I followed a different soil recipe from build a soil, and I stuck to the recipe. Hopefully we will see an improvement. After I got everything set up last night, I made one little check on the girls. Any time I make an adjustment to their environment I check on them a couple of times to make sure they are ok. Good thing I did. I looked in the clear window and couldn’t see anything!! The humidity was up to 80% and it was foggy in there. I turned on my exhaust fan and that was resolved in an hour or so. I had the plants domed anyway, because the humidity in the tent before I turned on the humidifier was 27%. So I decided to dome them for now. My T5 seedling light is 14" above the cups. I will be updating with pictures when The Dutchess and Bonnie break ground. Until then the light is on 24/7, and will be sw I tched to 18/6 when they come up. Thanks for stopping by scylents. Peace…

Jewels-
There is a good reason I didn’t use worm poop. I forgot!!! I will mix some in to the soil so its there when I transplant them. Thank you so much for bringing that to my attention. That recipe didn’t list worm castings I dont think. Thats odd. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and chiming in. I do have the mushroom compost in there. I actually have the mushroom compost, cow manure compost, and one other one. If the recipe calls for compost, I will usually split it up and include all the types of compost that I have. Same total amount, just a third of each one. I love omelets at The Waffle House, but I wouldn’t want to eat just that my whole life. I give the girls a little variety, as long as it meets the recipe’s ingredient list. Have a good day Jewels- peace…

I love their waffles :waffle:  you could always use worm poop in the top dress. They have a few recipes on the sight. I remember the one I use mentions compost or WC or a mix of the 2. I do the latter.
I us a couple of composts, oly mountain, mushroom compost and I use build a soils ā€œbuild a flowerā€ topdress which has compost in it

Turbo-
It really is a different way to grow. When I first got on the forum, I was like a lot of people. I read, watched, and learned how to grow the way most grow I guess. But I have always been a fan of natural growing. It has been a learning process, and in a way, you are starting all over. Before, you grew and you focused on the plant. With organic growing its all about the soil. Yes, you are taking care of the plant, but your focus is not feeding the plant. You are feeding the microbes, and they feed the plants. It really is a cool process, the symbiotic relationship between the microbes and the plant. I have to admit that I found myself wanting to focus on the plant the first time. I had to keep reminding myself that you take care of the soil, and the soil takes care of the plant. Ok, enough rambling for now. Have a good one Turbo. Peace…

@Bulldognuts-
To answer your question, I had only been misting the soil very lightly. I have 2 seeds soaking right now. I will continue to try to get em going though. On the ILGM website they say try to germinate them again before contacting them. Is it possible to regerminate? I can try it,
but I have never heard anyone talk about regurgitating. I heard of and seen revealing and harvesting and keeping the plant to start over. Anyway, I have blabberred enough for now. Peace…

@Shindig and I have talked some. If you define ā€œtalkedā€ as me asking him a lot of questions, then yeah, we talked. Very solid grower!

Hey @kaptain3d-
A simple question that I am 95% sure I know the answer to, but I am soaking two seeds. Do I plant them as soon as they sink, or do I wait til they have tails. Man, when you have had radiation to your brain all the short term memory is out the door. My white widow cbd has sunk but the bb is still floating. Still no action on the 1st two. I looked at the wwcbd and the seed looked OK but the tail was no longer there. Another question- ILGM says to try and germinate the seeds again before contacting us. Has that been done? I dont remember anyone talking about regermination anywhere that I have read. Have you ever done it, and if so, what were the results? Thank you kind sir!!! Peace…

No easy answer to that one, unfortunately… I use to wait for them to have tails, but my success rate sucked big time ( about 40% in average). Now I just soak them for 24 hours and then I put them in soil. Tails or no tails, floaters or not! And I now have a 100% success rate. So my answer is : do what feel right for you…

What they mean, afaik, is that if you bought 5 seeds and the first one you tried didn’t work… try to germinate the other 4 (in your own time) before contacting them. That way if you only had one seed that didn’t pop you won’t open 1 ticket for each seeds that doesn’t sprout and only open one customer service ticket for the amount of ā€œdudsā€ seeds in a specific order.
Less work for everybody in that method. So less overhead, more profit for them, but better customer service for us!

I’m pretty sure I got this right. We can check with @MattyBear or @dbrn32 if you want to be doubly sure!
