Pasolauren's "Miracle-Grow"

Wassup growmie’s! Join me on my first adventure with my first cannabis plants! Even though I’m growing all organic, I’m calling it a “miracle grow” because it’s my first time growing (cannabis) and I’m determined to get the best bud I can :raised_hands:t4: I know you guys can help! Also, two of my girls are 5 weeks old and the other two are about a week from sprouting. Fingers crossed, I learned my lesson off the first two and we make some magic happen! Let’s GROOOOOOOW ( pun intended )

1 week after transplant into 3 gallon home, should I top now?

1 week old girlies!!!

Excuse the setup guys! My grow light is coming in this week, but we’re making it work! Had some issues with another grow light delivery (thanks Amazon) , so I have to order a new one, all cool! The new girls are looking good with just a one cfl and 1 LED

Observations: pop the plastic cover off the LED bulb. Most of the light from a CFL actually comes out from the sides not the tip. Instead of hanging vertically, you’d get more from running horizontal. I love CFLs for starts and you can get em damn near touching leaves. Wishing you a miraculous grow

lol thanks for noticing my flower guardian :joy::sweat_smile: & I ended up ordering two different lights, the Jamsung and a brand off amazon called a Aglex k1000. I ordered the szhlux 400W first but it never arrived and I just got a refund, lol. I felt like it was a sign that I was doing too much since I’m only in a 3x2 and the light was meant for a 4x4. Also, since I see everybody using a mix of lights, I feel like it’s best to have more than one brand lol, we’ll see

Let’s grooo brudda :love_you_gesture:t4::facepunch:t4:

I was thinking of doing that but didn’t wanna start a fire lmao, I’m good right ? & facts, it does make more sense to hang horizontal since their omni directional, DUHHH

You’re good and no issues. Just like J’s pic above.

Edit: You could even make a Al foil reflector and drape over the CFL once horizontal

Definitely an upgrade from my old setup

Last look at the girlies under the basic CFL & LED set up ( 2- 33W, 6500K CFL & 1 2700K, 1490 lumens LED)

Looks like a little nutrient burn on my girl above, going to flush her today and check run off

Roots growing out the bottom!

On the bright side, my new girls are looking fantastic! (To me anyways lol)- they’re about two weeks old and with the new light, I’m expecting them to flourish!

Just got these ph & tds meters at the same time & idk, I have mixed feelings :joy::sweat_smile: I’m sure the pH going out is good, since I’m in coco, peat, and vermiculite. But the ppm is absurd!! No wonder she has nutrient burn lmao. I can just tell by the color of the runofff that the numbers weren’t gonna be pretty. Just flushed her, what should her new ppm be, 800-1000?

I fight my ppm out so much I gave up. 800 in 2300 out :face_with_spiral_eyes:
Ive concluded the bottom of my fabric pot is the culprit because the plant looks fine. Does yours look stressed or burnt? Think I’ve got a bunch in the bottom. Need to get it on a riser.

Lol, I hear you brotha. My girl does look a little stressed, some burnt tips on the upper leaves and the lower leaves are discolored with brown spots. Also Gonna pH my water since it’s coming in at 7. The pot was still leaking so I didn’t check the final runoff ppm, will do when I get home

Also, what are you growing in bro and what pH do you go in at

Im in 100% coco coir. I try to keep my pH at or right below 6.0 and ppm around 800-900. I was atound 1200 but was getting slight nute burn so zi backed off.

Okay bet, I figure maybe the coco is holding onto the nutrients too much, but since their water soluble nutrients, they wash out also? I haven’t been watering/feeding till runoff but I hear that’s something people do? For my 3 gallon I’m thinking of next time (and most likely every time) that I feed, I’m going to give 2 cups of liquid nutes and then water with plain neutral water or 6.2 pH water slowly till run off – prob another 2 cups. We’ll see how it goes

Bring you pH down to around 5.8. The coco is basically a hydroponic soil and needs to be around 5.6-5.8 during veg.

Yea, I keep seeing 5.8-6.2 is best. With the new ph water and new grow light, let’s see how growth changes😅
