I was wanting to know if growing outside during the day and bringing them in at night would work . I think this will help deer not eat the plants and no one will walk off with them at night . It is legal here so that part is not a problem . I just want to know if it will negatively affect the plants . Thanks in advance for any advice offered .

Im watching for an answer as well. I know its 90+ degrees 75+ humidity regularly here outside and in my house its always 74 degrees and low humidity. And ive been indoor/outdooring since they sprouted. The roots on the 4 i just transplanted to 1 gallons seem just fine. Actually very healthy. So in my (very limited) experience its fine. HOWEVER i have 2 plants in 5 galls and the 4 in 1 galls and moving them around is a bit of work and they are all under a month… so plan ahead for that. Inside should be close to the door

@JohnRoland Nope, I don’t see nothing wrong at all, that’s exactly what I do! Make sure to put them under supplemental lighting when brought indoors so they won’t go into flowering and you’re fine my friend.just maintain a scheduled pesticide to be on the safe side, I use insecticidal soap and alternate with orgnocide.
all of these live outside for the time being temp in the 90 to 100’s

I’ve got 4 plants I bring out for 12 hours of sun, and then bring into a tent for 12 hours of dark. So far they’re pretty happy.

Similar. Mine get about the same 4 hours of sleep i get. The other 20 hours are a skittles bag of light. Depending on outside temp n rain and i always partial the light from noon to 3. Not about to let the sun smoke my bud for me

Yes, insecticidal soap I spray from the bottle, organocide I premix in (11ml per quart )and use in dollar store sprayer
this has worked for me , I spray them once a week (during veg)since they are outside most of the day, just a preventative, Ive had problems with spider mites in the past.(I mix my organocide with RO water, have hard water, so I don’t use tap water) I like to spray them 15min before putting them to bed

I put 22 outside to finish their various stages of veg for the summer season. Figured I would bring them in as I pleased to flower and whatever was outside when Mother Nature flowered for me could stay.
HUGE MISTAKE. I brought little mother F’ers with them. And I did a full transplant when I transitioned from inside out. U have no clue what has laid eggs or hatched or made your roots their home until it’s too late and your room or tent is infested.
Needless to say. The other 21 will flower outside.

That sucks bro. I noticed my outside area has drawn ants since ive been moving them out. Now i have to find another more elevated location…

@anon95385719, that happened to me the first time also, I’m new to indoor growing, been growing outside for years,but yes, what a surprise I had, on my first indoor grow. But all is well, it took a lot of cleaning up of the grow room, so, becareful,I inspect my plants daily, if I see a bug I’ll spray on sight, but once a week works just fine and I havent had any outbreaks lately. All mine are in one gallon pots and will be replanted into bigger containers, I grow organically and let the soil food web enjoy those eggs laid in my soil. Regardless inspect soil and inspect plant, under leaves is were they hide. Good luck on your growing everone

Not a bro but it’s all good. Fungus gnats and aphids love to hide in your soil and corrupt your inside grow. I’m gonna try the soap outdoors thanks for the suggestion @Mrcrabs. But don’t think I will trust anything enough to bring one back inside.

This is exactly my growing regimen. I live in SoCal (Central Coast) and when the sun is out the girls get to enjoy it. It makes sense as a real cost savings in electricity but do have to worry about pests. I have and do use all of the common pesticides and I’ll tell you the ONLY thing that does a great job is horticulture screen. You can buy bags of varying sizes and simply cover your plants when they are outside.
