Outdoor super soil grow

Hey my grow family
Just started my outdoor grow
Getting a late start this year
As some of you remember my last outdoor grow flowered early and I built a grow room to finish em up
No regrets as my indoor set up has yielded great results
As with most of my grows , I am doing a super soil grow , loosely based on Subcools recipe
Here is my super soil mix

So The steer manure was a late addition
I had purchased some at the urging of @Fishead for my veggie garden beds and figured it couldn’t hurt my super soil so we added a couple pounds to my super soil mix which has been baking since March 30th
We added the steer manure on the 2nd of April
I think it is going to be an awesome super soil build!!
Some of you may remember my outdoor site from my previous thread entitled “Outdoor Desert Grow”
4 super skunks (local grow buddy)
1 Blue Dream ( local grow buddy)
The rest ILGM:
2 Gold leaf
1 Agent Orange
1 Purple Haze
1 Big Bud
1 Amnesia Haze
1 Chocalope
I am going to grow all these outdoor
Pics coming soon

So here are some pics of my grow
I also started my veggies too
The three seedlings in the 1 gallon pots are the ones I started for my cousin
2 of the super skunks in the rapid rooter plugs are for @Fishead he is gonna put em outdoor at his mom’s place
The rest of em are going in my outdoor space

The two beds are for my veggie garden and the cannabis plants are going in 10 gallon smart pots which I will position around the veggie garden beds
Inside the silver tarp is my supersoil baking
It will be ready at the end of April
I also have planted 2 more super skunk seeds one on each side of the mint plant in the big orange planter box. The soil in the big box has been amended with a ton of bat guano and worm castings not to mention it is home to a couple thousand European night crawlers as well
Last year I had a basil plant in it that was huge
So I am sure the super skunks will get huge in there
Though those two are not going to be in supersoil they will need to be fed and I will be feeding them my organic teas through out the grow
I do not do any nute regimines and my past few grows have done well with the tea that I make
So here we go again
Hope this outdoor grow goes well
As some of you may remember that last years “outdoor desert grow” they all flowered early due to a cold snap and though I put them outdoor after the solstice they still all flowered early forcing my to build a grow room
This year I am getting them out later than I wanted too but it is for the best. Now I am sure they will not flower early and have a full season to veg through the summer and finish in October
I will do my best to document this grow and update on a regular basis
Happy growing everyone

How much water do you add to your super soil and how long do you let it sit in the sun?

@Drillbit Subcool’s recipe is 3 gallons of non-chlorinated water per large garbage can. The soil is moist but not dripping wet, if that makes sense. Let it cook at least 30 days before using. More isn’t a problem. You want the temps to not be cold though.

Sorry for the late reply
@DaGoose is probably right , although I never read anything from subcool on how much water to use
I water it continually while I mix it and I use dechlorinated water
It is just an inline chlorine filter you can get at your local grow store or home supply store
You want it damp not drenched you do not want to over water it but you want it watered throughly
I did a big batch
As far as baking it in the sun you want to bake for at least 30 days but 90 days is even better
I would do 90 days if I had more time
I put mine in a big tarp that I mix it in and then I cover the pile with a sheet of 10 mil visqueen ( clear plastic ) and then tie up the tarp tight like this

You want to make sure bugs are not gonna get into it if you don’t seal it tight you will get black flies and other jerks living in your soil
Hope this helps

Update: had some set backs with this grow and with my veggie garden
I always knew I had a rat living on the side of my house for years
He never really bothered me so I left him alone and in the colder weather I would even put hand fulls of dog food near his nest.
I figured if he was surviving out side okay that would keep him out of my house
At the end of last years garden he ate some of my radish seedlings and some lettuce seedlings
Didn’t really bother me much
But this year he really started getting on my last nerve
I had a total of 3 super skunk and 2 northern lights seedlings out side and they were very small a couple cucumber seedlings and a bunch of radishes
He ate all the veggies and completely devoured 2 skunks and severely damaged the rest
So in my grow room I have like 12 more cannabis plants and 20-30 veggie seedlings that will need transplanted soon so I was freekin out
So being an animal lover I got a live trap one that you bait and they just get stuck in a cage without killing them
4 days go by and nothing he was just too smart for the trap.
So I decided to pull all the pieces of plywood off the side of my house where his nest was and flush him out into the trap

YESSSS!! Got him
So I took him to a field several miles a way and released him.
Well… a couple hours later I was finishing up cleaning up that area of the side of my house to prevent any other rats from making a home there again and he was a she!

I found seven just like this one and of course I felt just terrible that I just took mommy miles away
I couldn’t kill em and I couldn’t just let them starve to death
So I have been bottle feeding them since last Wednesday
Six of them died but the last one is hanging tough
I had to feed every 2 hours at first including night feeding and now every 4 hours
Now since then I transplanted a bunch of veggies outside again and a super skunk
I go out there yesterday and I’ll be darned to heck if my super skunk had all of its fan leaves chewed off and my new radishes were gone
So was thinking maybe I have another rat
So the only place I thought one could be is under a pile of roof shingles on the side of my house a few feet from the original nest
I moved the shingles and found him
I flushed him out and he ran right in the trap
Apparently daddy rats nest separated from mommy rats and babies
So now I am rat free and can continue with the grow and veggies without worrying about all my hard work getting eaten by these guys
Though I have been so busy taking care of the rat babies I neglected my grow room cus I was going days with out sleep I for got to water and forgot to transplant some of my tiny seedlings so I lost a couple and more that a few ended up getting crispy fan leaves
Most of them lived and will be fine but I never had a grow get off to such a terrible start and never had any plants get stressed or look so rough with stunted growth but I am still confident this grow is gonna be great
Happy growing everybody
