Using @garrigan62 posted recipe on here for super soil, I mixed amendments into roots organics medium and filled 7 gallon fabric pots half way . Kinda worried I put too much but from the looks of it , they are doing okay so far.
2 plants on left are 5 weeks old now and the 3 on the rt are 4 weeks old , probably going to throw this into 12/12 next week sometime, just a little more LST still needed to develope more tops.
I know the roots have hit the super soil by now.
This is strawberry cheese cake 5 weeks old now and she is loving it.
I have been cutting super large shade leaves off her gradually, they are so big that I don’t want to cut too much at once and shock her.
spun her around
Thanks, I have been paying attention to the lighting and noticing that you can really squash them down if you have it too high, I lowered the power to just below half and raised them up to 36 inches and now they are starting to space the nodes more, then as that happens I will lower them some , little at a time watching the plants. I figure when switching to 12/12 then I will raise the intensity back up some. @dbrn32
Oh ya, if you pound them with light you won’t get a lot of vertical growth. It’s the opposite of not having enough light, they go searching for it. I usually wait until after transition to start hitting them hard. So maybe gradual increases from 12/12 through first couple weeks of flower. Then dial them up.
I have found good luck with my QB’s with staying at 24 inches turned down all the way.
After the 12/12 flip I leave the light at 24 inches and increase power every few days while simultaneously letting the plants grow up to within 12 or so inches. Usually by the time they are 12 inches away, the light is full power and they are hardened off to the intensity.
Yeah, I put them in there and dummy me started raising intensity when they were young, LOL when I got too high I realized what I was doing and backed way off. I got a bunch of lights, I bought some chilled logic led, hlg triple r spec quantum boards, and the ones I built which are super high intensity but no 660 nm deep reds on them, waiting for some photo boosts to complete my lighting detail but nothing yet on them and we are halfway thru Aug now.
So I set up my flower tent in the 5x5 and put the r spec in the middle of 2 double row samsung strips and see what kinda buds grow from this. @imSICKkid
Good morning everyone I’m just chiming in my brother I believe you should have your co2 bags above your plants cause co2 is heavier than air it tends to go down wards over canopy of plants.
