Hey guys, so as i wrote i ordered the XL kit and got the regular, the only difference is the heat sink that in the XL is 3ft and in regular about 23”, both use same LED boards and same size. My grow tent is 4x2. Is it really matter which one?

Xl will give better coverage In 4x2 at sides of tent

Contact HLG , It is possible they might send you the XL ordered an you can keep the 260 . The 260 XL Definitely better coverage for your 2x4 space

xl will also keep temps lower overall! Heatsinks matter!
Also it is already pre drilled and tapped to have a 3rd board setup in between those 2 . So if you ever want to add more light you can add a board and upgrade the driver

I got my Growers Choice Roi-e720 for half price brandnew from a guy that ordered a their smaller 640w light and Growers Choice let him keep it and resent the smaller light.
I would not be surprised at all if HLG did the same.
My only thoughts is that they will probably just send the xl heat sink since it was a kit and not a pre-built light 
But either way, I’m confident they would at minimum send the proper heat sink…

That’s a good point @1HappyPappy XL heat sink . I purchased A XL heat sink I think it was about 100 bucks.

HLG has the best customer support. I have spent well over a grand on lights with them. When i ordered my 260XL, one of the light boards came with a broken tab. I called HLG and during the conversation i mentioned the extra space on the XL board and asked how much to upgrade? They said since they are going to send me a new board, theyll send me the meanwell driver to support the boards at no extra cost, so basically i got the 320 upgrade free. When i ordered my 300l Bspec, they accidentally shipped me a refurbished one, when i called, they immediately sent me out a new one , and i sent the refurbished one back. I then turned around and purchased a 350R refurbished and when i received it, it was brand new. Usually when they send out refurbished units, itll have a refurbished sticker on the box. This box only had a residential sticker on it. I called HLG and let them know and they said to keep it as a thank you… so, im a HLG fan for life. Not only are my plants thriving and 100% better yield, the quality is unmatched.

Also really debating on returning it completely and get the AC Infinity 260W which also use Samsung LM301H, thoughts?

Definitely get with them they’ll make it right ask for a swag bag for all the hassle they’ll send you some free stuff they’re a great company to work with last time I got a 260 XL it came with the meanwhile driver after they started using inventronics so I called to ask why it had mean well they sent me the inventronics driver let me keep the meanwhile as a spare wanted all my drivers to match since the 300 L’S have them

Should get the light any day, what hight should i want it above canopy? Also what %’s of use? Let’s say 1st week of veg and 3rd week of veg, what %’s of use in the dimmer do i wanna be at?
